Crema's Take

Tucked along the Monon trail, Perk Up is a serene escape from Indianapolis's busier coffee scene, with a peaceful deck and thoughtful pour-overs that shine when the baristas are on their game. The shop excels at creative specialty drinks like their pumpkin dirty hippie, and regulars rave about the Sumatra drip and the genuinely quiet, contemplative vibe that makes it perfect for lingering over a cup or meeting a friend.

I believe I got a hot pumpkin dirty hippie with oat milk. I would definitely get it again. The place was closing for the day so it was blocked off but the seating area looks like it’s be really cute when it’s open and bustling.

Barrista could do with a perk up, most unpleasant person i have met in Indiana. Coffee was actually not very good, if it was any good I could have ignored the rudeness. In an area filled with small cafes I would chose another to spend my money.

I wanted a real Broad Ripple experience and found myself in a chain coffee shop, which was crowded and noisy. I decided to walk down to Perk Up along the Monon trail, and found it serene and the small-town experience I was looking for. The breakfast sandwich was hearty and well prepared. The coffee excellent. I will return!

A nice little shop for coffee. The sumatra drip coffee was tasty. The other items everyone really liked. Sat out on the deck at 10am and nice shade and sun. Peaceful place to enjoy a cup of Joe. Also had some nice 50 60s music playing.

Sadly, I cannot give this place any more than one star. I paid over $14 for a piece of bland quiche and small iced tea (menu said it was a large) that tasted so bad that I couldn’t drink it. There was no indoor seating allowed. Only two unclean tables outside available to sit on. I love supporting small business, but if you have the option, you may want to reconsider and pick somewhere else. Unfortunately, I will never go back.
