Ciao Bella Coffee

284 Clarkson Ave, Brooklyn, NY

★★★★★4.7(293 Google reviews)

Crema's Take

Tucked into Brooklyn, this espresso-focused café pulls shots so smooth and balanced they'll have you coming back for the ritual alone, whether you're meditating over your first cup or settling in with your pup for hours. Beyond the stellar coffee, Ciao Bella has cultivated a genuinely cozy neighborhood vibe where regulars become family and pastries like their legendary ham croissants (which sell out by afternoon) pair perfectly with their impressive matcha program. It's the kind of place where the experience—warm service, great music, and a space that welcomes everyone from laptop workers to Bernedoodles—feels as carefully crafted as the drinks themselves.

Pulled up my boy Meeko the Bernedoodle, and was happy to find this hidden gem. The espresso hits smooth, strong, no bitterness. The first shot put me into a trance. I like to meditate in the morning and this shot sent dopamine straight to the prefrontal cortex. The vibe inside is chill, no pretentious energy—just good coffee, clean design, and friendly people. Grew up in New York City, so I’ve had a lot of espresso in my life—this spot stands out. Thanks again, I’ll be back. —Hoiping Listening to Ben Max Politics with my Bestie Meeko the Bernadoodle waiting for my Espresso tripio to hit Bigly. Undecided between my 3rd cup of coffee of the day or Chocolate The cool Barista suggested a Mocha, shes a genius.

We were in town visiting my brother and had to visit his fav coffee shop. He is a regular at Ciao Bella and has been singing it's praises for years. I was so excited to stop by and see where he goes for his Joe. We walked into this adorable cafe and were immediately greeted with welcoming smiles. It was so nice to meet the staff and the coffee and pastries were delicious. I was so happy to see my little brother find a home with this wonderful neighborhood establishment. I can't wait to visit again.

The cutest little cafe with the coziest vibes and best matcha I’ve had in a minute. I also tried the pumpkin loaf, which was a bit too dense but had a great flavor. From what I’ve seen, their coffee looks great too and I’ll definitely be back to try other items. A must visit cafe for Brooklyn locals! And just fyi, if you’re looking to sit in to eat/work/study, the space looks like it quickly gets crowded so probably go early to get a spot.

Overall rating: 4.8 THE HAM CROISSANTS ARE WORTH IT. Everyone knows it. That’s why they sell out by the afternoon 🥲😭 the doughnut plant donuts are not. You can get the same ones a dollar cheaper at Ideal Market. I’m still trying to go during their night activities. If you follow them on Instagram, you’ll know when that is. The staff is really nice. But since it’s a small space, there can be a wait. Usually there’s just one person behind the counter. It’s already a popular place, but highly recommend!

Stopped in for a hot chocolate on a cold day. While the hot chocolate was okay, the experience was excellent. Service was great, and inside the music, decorations, and company was a source of great contentment. There is a disco ball on the high ceiling. A great stereo whose audial glow filled the cafe subtly and fully. It is a comfortable place.
