Crema's Take
“This beachside breakfast spot hits the sweet spot between a casual diner and a proper restaurant, serving genuinely crave-worthy omelettes and that legendary jalapeño hash that keeps locals coming back. The ocean views, unhurried atmosphere, and staff who treat families and toddlers like VIPs make it feel less like a transaction and more like a neighborhood gathering place where everyone knows they'll get hot food done right.”

One of the best breakfast options in Manhattan Beach, and one of my favorites in South Bay in general. It’s in between a traditional breakfast restaurant and a diner, and some things I love about it are it has friendly and quick service, a giant menu, and great food. Inside is pretty large so it can host many different sized groups, and has booth and table seating. Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, we found a metered street spot a block away, but you may have to circle a few times before finding a spot. For this visit, I chose the Crab & Avocado Benedict because those are two of my two favorite things combined, so it was a no-brainer to order. The crab was very tasty and the hollandaise was made perfectly and overall it was a great dish. I also ordered a side of fruit and they really did not skimp on the fruit quality, they gave me banana, watermelon, grapes, and didn’t just throw the melon and cantaloupe at me. Overall, a great breakfast option and I plan to be back many times in the future.
Had an amazing time eating by far the best breakfast food in all of Manhattan Beach. The jalapeño hash is to die for and the only thing better is the service you'll receive while visiting The Local Yolk!
Had the best experience here. Great food, a view of the ocean, and amazing service. We came with our toddler and Alex was so wonderful and kind. Immediately brought him food and made sure we had a great time. Thank you, Alex!! Can’t wait to come back.
It’s not fancy, it’s just good food served up fast and hot! Big menu with lots of options. We did a very casual Father’s Day brunch here. Be mindful that parking can be sticky so not there is a lot a block or two, to the North. Also, it can get busy on weekend mornings! VictorB
The best breakfast in Manhattan Beach! The omelettes are amazing! They come with hashbrowns (golden brown and crispy) or fruit (and it's not just melon). They also come with pancakes or a large biscuit. The pancakes are enormous and it comes with 2! I eat a lot of food and this is great for me! You'll have plenty of food for good price. I highly recommend, you won't regret it!
