Crema's Take

Tucked into Kennett Square, this intimate café and destination restaurant operates like two distinct experiences: by day, it's a charming spot for exceptional pastries and light bites in a beautifully curated space, while by night it transforms into an ultra-exclusive dining experience where only two tables serve a meticulously crafted tasting menu that requires booking a year in advance. The team's deep knowledge of their ingredients and origins, paired with their genuine warmth, creates that rare feeling of being welcomed into something truly special—whether you're grabbing a frittata and coffee or settling in for a multi-course celebration.

Cute spot during the day! Great dips and baked goods, beautiful store inside, kind staff. Would love to try dining here for dinner eventually - you need reservations well in advance to dine as you reserve “the table” for your groups meal! A staple in Kennett.

Such a special experience. Only 2 tables inside. Food was superb. Service and knowledge of the food and origination was top notch. We brought our own wine to pair that they suggested.

Reviewing on my cafe experience as I have yet to dine here for dinner. I love this cafe. So many delicious treats to choose from. I’ve only ever tried their frittata, but I can’t wait to try some baked goods. They have many different small food brands’ products, too. I wish they carried Baba’s Kombucha. It would fit in so well. At least they do have a kombucha option, but it is a common brand that doesn’t exactly feel like it matches the cute, bespoke nature of Talula’s. Limited seating in the cafe, but the style of seating is sweet. Two communal style tables. The decor in the place is thoughtfully curated to match the unique style of whomever designed the space. There is intentionality and originality in it. The door is often rotating during the day with people coming in to grab food to go, but even with all the action, the environment is peaceful to sit and chat with a friend or get some work done. I can’t wait to come back and try more!

We booked a tasting dinner here a full year in advance to nab a Saturday evening and it was well worth it. The food, the service and the atmosphere were all excellent. We were absolutely blown away by not just the quality of the courses, but also the variety on the winter menu. Talula's really did an excellent job preparing unique, flavorful dishes with fresh ingredients that each stood out on their own. The add-ons between the dishes such as the small bites to start the meal and the just incredible bread basket were also all excellent. Our two servers also did an absolutely great job. We appreciated that they were able to make accommodations for various food allergies. This was well worth the trip out to Kennett Square from Philly and one of the best tasting menu experiences we have had. We highly recommend getting your name in the books for this excellent dining experience!
