Crema's Take

This cozy Santa Barbara spot strikes that rare balance between a quick caffeine grab and a lingering brunch destination, with a genuinely welcoming vibe that keeps locals coming back. The real star here is their waffle game paired with thoughtfully made lattes—reviewers rave about the quality of both, particularly the oat milk versions, making it an ideal spot for coffee lovers who actually want something substantial to eat alongside their cup. With ample parking (a luxury in downtown SB) and a relaxed atmosphere, it's become the kind of neighborhood place where you're just as happy ducking in solo for a coffee as you are settling in for a leisurely Sunday with friends.

Since it's a time of low traffic and ample parking (not usually the case in downtown SB) I decided to try. Ordered the full breakfast waffle with chicken sausage and a 12oz oat latte. Delicious, fresh, fast and cheerful service. Coffee is great! Heirloom tomato slices are ripe and waffle is crispy on the outside. Spicy maple syrup and eggs too. Everything is nice. Keep up the good food!

Perfect location - cozy & convenient. The waffles were delicious, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend their warm croissants

Super nice place, food quality, atmosphere, and the lattes are amazing. Classic Wafle was one of our best.

Born & raised in SB & love supporting local businesses, I pass by this place all the time as it’s pretty close to my job & finally decided to try this place with my bf today for a good sunday brunch/treat. Upon arriving there was a long line which was expected as it is a Sunday. The young guy taking our order was pretty distracted talking to his coworkers & everytime we would order 1 thing, he would start talking to his coworker & then apologize & would have us repeat our order, did that about 3x-not a big deal since he apologized but was a little off putting, I ordered the complete waffle & my bf ordered the mosaic melt, for coffee I tried the bee sting which was AMAZING, definitely will be my go to for coffee when I am on my way to work. As for the food, I was super disappointed- my waffle was super soggy in the middle, my sausages tasted like they we’re microwaved, eggs had absolutely no flavor, my boyfriends melt was also super soggy & he said it was “ok.” Maybe i’ll give this place one more chance but will try a sweet waffle, but unfortunately our food was not it today & we did not leave satisfied. I understand it’s Sunday & it was busy but very mid & they just made our food quick to get it out. Again coffee was amazing & I’ll definitely be back for that.
