Cedarhurst Cafe
44 Crown St, New Haven, CT
Crema's Take
“Cedarhurst Cafe is a genuine neighborhood gem where espresso-focused drinks and thoughtfully made breakfast sandwiches (that bacon, egg and cheese is apparently legendary) meet a sun-drenched, art-filled space that feels like a friend's living room. The mom-and-pop energy here is real—you'll find locals lingering over their London Fogs and creative specialty drinks, working at high-top or window tables, and genuinely enjoying being there, even if the tab runs a bit high for New Haven. It's the kind of place where the coffee tastes like someone actually cares, the pastries feel homemade, and the casual, unhurried vibe makes it worth the price.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

I'm not a person that usually leaves a review unless I'm impressed and this moms and pops coffee shop did it!!! Definitely will visit again great atmosphere excellent coffee the staff is beyond nice and welcoming. Highly recommend the spot.
This has to be the most underrated coffee shop in New Haven. Food and coffee is great and taste like a home cooked meal. My boyfriend claims this is the best bacon egg and cheese sandwich he’s had. Super sweet people and just all around a great place for breakfast/lunch etc.
