Very kind customer service! Today was my first time trying this place and the workers were so kind and patient while I made a decision on what I wanted. I ended up choosing from their Valentine’s Day menu. Once I got my order which was a cheesecake matcha drink, it was so good! I would definitely get it again if I see it on the menu in the future. They’ve earned a repeat customer.
I absolutely love the energy in this place. The crew were very friendly and didn't rush me while I was looking at the menu. It is such a cool chill looking place. I love all the plants. I liked the coffle which looks like a waffle with brown sugar drizzle on it. The drink was earthy like. I got the banana pudding ooji I think that's what it's called. It was explained to me that it's basically matcha but brown. In all I enjoyed the experience.
If you love matcha, The Brown Thumb is an absolute must see in Denton. Even when I’m in a hurry, the moment I walk in everything feels calm. The atmosphere is peaceful, the people are genuinely kind, and I always enjoy my visit. Whether you want to browse plants, relax for a minute, or grab a drink to go, it’s such a great spot. Their matcha menu is very diverse, and the staff is happy to help whether you’re new to matcha or already love it. Even my husband, who doesn’t usually like matcha, loves their matcha lemonade. That says a lot!! Great vibes, great drinks, and a place I keep coming back to.
My best friend and I took an impromptu stroll to this spot for some matcha and a little downtime together, and we were so delighted by what we found. The space features an adorable plant shop paired with a cozy matcha setup—such a charming combination. While a few hard-to-reach areas could use a deeper clean, the service more than made up for it. Every employee greeted us warmly, including the owner herself, and the hospitality felt genuinely personal despite the steady flow of customers. I was especially impressed by the quality and variety of plants available. Shops like this often carry just a handful of options, but not here! Their weekly restocked inventory offered such a great selection that we had a hard time choosing which plants to take home. Monica is an absolute sweetheart. Her bright smile, authenticity, and extensive knowledge of both plants and matcha made the experience even lovelier. And the drinks? Fantastic. Even with a stable crowd, our order took no more than 15 minutes, and honestly—if you ever have to wait longer, it’s absolutely worth it.
This is one of my favorite places for matcha, plants, and activities/events🪴🍵💕 I've had dates here, girls day outings, and even my birthday. The Cookie Butter matcha is my FAVORITE drink, the Japanese (curled) pathos is my favorite plant buy, and the terrarium building event was my favorite activity so far! Glad we discovered this place earlier this summer. It's about an hour away (40 mins if you don't mind the hwy), but so worth the road trip lol
