Crema's Take

Mug Shots is a brick-lined hideaway where excellent coffee pairs beautifully with house-made pastries that locals rave about—their lemon cheesecake is genuinely special. Beyond the cup, this independent spot doubles as a genuine community gathering place, featuring rotating local artwork available for purchase and a warmth that makes first-time visitors feel immediately welcomed.

Our first time here ...Welcomed as soon as we entered! Cozy atmosphere. Bought 2 art photos from local artist off their wall... very reasonably-priced. Lemon cheesecake was DELICIOUS! Mexican mocha was INCREDIBLE! We SHALL return!

Mugshot at 2040 Montgomery St. in Oroville is the cozy brick hideout you didn’t know you needed 😄☕️. Friendly folks, comfy vibes, and the perfect spot to read, wake up, or pretend you’re being productive 📖📰. And then there’s Madi — the sweetest sweetheart you’ll ever meet 💛. She’ll hook you up with hot coffee, homemade pastries, and the legendary apple French toast 🍎🍞🔥. Don’t believe me? Come try it yourself… your taste buds will thank you 😋👏

This is a must visit every time I come to town. The house made bakery items is truly what elevates this coffee shop above the rest. I really enjoy all the different artwork they feature throughout the year.

Visited October 19th..see my receipt. It's hard to find a coffee shop on Sundays! This one opens at 8am on Sunday. It is across from the Union Bar and Grill. I like all the brick inside and the local artwork for sale. It has a cozy feeling and provides indoor and outside seating. I ordered a flavored latte ( tasted like a holiday!) And a breakfast burrito with cheese and egg and bacon. I ate less than half (it would be a perfect size to share) to heat up later. It was really good..eggs were fluffy and I liked that the bacon was alittle crispy. Could have used alittle more bacon but still awesome! They have pastries...burritos..and a lunch menu ( alot of paninis too). Great experience! Ps...Mattie did a great job and I appreciated her suggestions.
