Crema's Take

This Tatte location on 14th Street has mastered the art of the leisurely coffee date, with a thoughtful menu that draws inspiration from Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors—think Cheese Boreka, shakshuka, and their standout Honey Halva Latte that pairs beautifully with the pastries. The pastry case is genuinely special, offering creative seasonal options and generous tartines that feel more thoughtful than typical cafe fare, all delivered by a genuinely warm team that makes you feel like a regular from your first visit. It's the kind of place where you can settle in for a slow morning or weekend lunch without feeling rushed, backed by consistently good coffee that doesn't overshadow the kitchen's real strength: thoughtful, craveable food.

Pastries are my fave! The apricot, edamames and got cheese salad is a must as well as the shakshuka options :)

Perfect for a weekend light lunch plan with coffee. I like the healthy food they offer, same menu for several locations. I personally love the shakshuka with a nice pistachio/coffee drink . I found this location a bit more challenging to park than Alexandria or Arlington one, but is DC.

I got the smoked salmon tartine and the almond croissant with a iced caramel latte. The tartine was good, it surprised me actually at how much I liked it. Plus it's a generous portion. I'm glad I ordered it and I'll be ordering it next time I come. I came with my friend and baby and I was a bit anxious of baby crying and disturbing others, but the atmosphere here is quite welcoming (baby slept most of the time). There are people doing work on their laptops, other parents with their babies/toddlers, and regular meetups. This location is more spacious than the one on Connecticut Ave. Overall, really nice place for a quick bite and some chatting. Finding a table may be difficult during peak hours, but service is pretty quick at cleaning dirty tables (at least from my experience coming here that one day). The vibe is nice here, coffee is good and so is the almond croissant. I ordered some of the other pastries to go and wasn't a fan of some of them, but you'll never go wrong with an almond croissant. The pistachio pastries are also pretty good.

I found a very delicious pastry that reminded me of Turkey — the Cheese Boreka tastes just like the Turkish style! I also want to mention that the manager, Ibrahim, showed wonderful hospitality.

I love love a great coffee spot and this was top tier!! They have a slew of pastries and the coffee was superb. The staff was very welcoming and sweet. I was recommended to try the Honey Halva Latte and it was SUPERB I didn’t have to add anything to it. It was smooth and silky and just enough sweet. Definitely give it a try. My friend had the double espresso and she described it as the smoothest espresso she had ever drunk. We sat outside but there is plenty of seating inside and very clean and refreshing. 10 out of 10 recommend 🥰🥰😇 Grab a cup!!
