BREW Coffee Bar

Crema's Take

This downtown Cary spot strikes a rare balance between a serious espresso bar and a welcoming community gathering place, with baristas who clearly care about craft—their cappuccinos and cortados show real precision in structure and balance. The modern, personality-filled space with huge windows creates the perfect backdrop whether you're settling in for a slow coffee date or grabbing something quick, and their thoughtful default to dairy-free options shows they're genuinely tuned into what their customers need. Between the excellent pastries, considered drink menu spanning wine and beer, and staff who genuinely seem to enjoy what they do, it's the kind of place that earns devoted regulars.

A lovely ‘Downtown Cary, NC’ Coffee Bar that’s just great. Atmosphere, huge windows, great pastries and large coffee, tea, wine and beer menu. For hanging out, meeting friends, super fun and inviting !! In the heart of Cary and in the middle of everything !!

They default to dairy free for their drinks which I really appreciated! Especially since I forgot to ask for non-dairy when I placed my order lol. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the chicken salad with cranberries, but I would definitely order it again.

I’ve ordered coffee from this place a few times—both cappuccino and cortado. The quality is great: nice structure, and a really good balance of strength, acidity, and smoothness. The only thing I didn’t love was the food—it felt a bit overpriced to me. But at the same time, this place is clearly about coffee, not food. It’s not a restaurant. So no real complaints. I still come here for coffee and would definitely recommend it to others.

A hidden gem in downtown Raleigh! My wife and I are both coffee lovers—we’ve tried coffee from around the world and make our own espresso every morning. While the U.S. has great access to high-quality beans from Central and South America, truly professional coffee shops are still rare to find. BREW was definitely a delightful surprise. We happened to be in the area and decided to stop by. A slightly shy but friendly barista made me a latte and quickly poured a beautiful seahorse latte art—though he modestly said it wasn’t his best. The coffee was rich and full-bodied, with the milk perfectly balanced. The price was very reasonable too. We’ll definitely be back!

I absolutely loved the interior. It was modern and chic and still had personality. Not a lot of seating, but that is expected from a smaller shop. The staff were super nice and I could tell they enjoyed working there. However, the coffee was very overpriced and had nothing special about it. My boyfriend got the caramel latte and said that it kinda tasted like Chinese medicine (whatever that means lol). My drink tasted fine, just not worth $8 for a small. Overall, super cute place and def recommend if you want a nice place to study or meet up with a friend!
