really cute little spot! super friendly gentleman @ the counter greeted me right away. vietnamese iced coffee was so yummy and the strawberry nutella croissant thing was SOOO GOOD
My friends surprised me with breakfast here and it was soooo delicious! Definitely a hidden gem. It’s located right next to F45 attached to an apartment building. There is free parking available in the lot and on the street. The cafe itself is pretty small with about 3-4 tables inside and a few outside as well. Service was quick and the food was bomb. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area. Food/drink review: Matcha: (3.5/4 out of 5) It was very strong, but tasted a lot better once sweetener was added. Iced chai: (5/5) I ordered it with almond milk. This was some of the best chai I’ve had. So delicious, will definitely be back. San diegan: (5/5) I was surprised at how delicious this was. The flavors all blended well together. Good sized portion. Candied bacon avocado: (4/5) The candied bacon was a little too sweet and threw off the flavor of the sandwich but it was still delicious! Love at first bite: (4.5/5) If you’re looking for something sweet, this is the way to go! It was so yummy.
The food pictures look good but when I ordered it came out...not as expected. The San Diego on croissant had old avocado (it was brown) and so little it was like a smear rather than avocado, barely any chorizo, liquid eggs, and the croissant was hard. And it was $12.99??? Its a no from me
I ordered a breakfast açaí bowl from this spot through uber eats. It was decent overall, but definitely not the best I’ve had. The base was the standard frozen açaí blend, topped with banana, strawberries, almond butter, and granola. While it was filling and refreshing, the strawberries didn’t taste very fresh—more like frozen fruit. It was okay for a quick meal, but I’ve had much better açaí bowls elsewhere in San Diego.
The food here is super good... but most of us ordered sandwiches, which are the bomb, but one of us ordered a waffle, which didn't come out until everyone was done eating. It did look like maybe 1 person was working the food+coffee+register. All in all, it was a great, local little place! Didn't try the coffee, but food was good!
