Crema's Take

Nestled in Wailea Village, this espresso-focused spot has earned a devoted following for their genuinely excellent drip coffee and decaf that actually tastes smooth rather than bitter—a rarity worth celebrating. The sprawling lanai creates a peaceful retreat where you can linger over breakfast classics like lox and cream cheese toast, banana bread, and avocado toast with egg, all while soaking in that Maui morning energy, though arrive early since the line moves steadily for good reason.

Whenever we visit the island we get coffee and breakfast here. Always friendly service and great food. Lots of seating outdoors. The line can get quite long as they are always busy. The quality of food is higher than most other breakfast/lunch spots.

Ordered a coffee frappe and a decaf iced americano. Decaf tends to be sub-par but not here. Smooth, delicious coffee without a hint of bitterness. Peaceful, large lanai to enjoy your beverages. Excellent service.

Always a nice view and good spot for morning coffee and a quick bite. The lox and cream is super good, love their chai, and you must try the banana bread. Only complaint would be the ridiculously high pricing. Other than that, I definitely recommend this for your caffeine needs.

We originally stopped at Akamai Coffee just for coffee, and it was so good! Then we saw the menu and decided to try the avocado toast with an egg on top and the egg toast—both were amazing, and the presentation was great too. We loved it so much we ended up coming back 3–4 more times just for the coffee during our trip. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

I love coffee and I think their drip coffee is the best in the area. For that matter, better than many places than the mainland. I love their food choices; Well presented and tasty. The pic is of their Lox and cream sandwich. Also they are open early which is a bonus for some people with a different body clock.
