Crema's Take

This cozy Arlington spot punches way above its weight with vibrant Korean and American breakfast fare that keeps regulars coming back—think perfectly seasoned pork bulgogi that's generous enough for multiple meals and bibimbap bowls loaded with fresh vegetables and fried eggs. The tiny dining area fills up quick during work hours, but the friendly grill crew moves fast and keeps prices remarkably reasonable, making it an ideal spot to fuel up before heading into the office or meeting a friend for lunch. Whether you're grabbing a K-BBQ sub on your way through or settling in with coffee and a full breakfast, Mike's has that unpretentious neighborhood energy where the food does all the talking.

A friend and I enjoyed a quick lunch here. I got the pork bibimbap bowl which came with steamed rice, lettuce, radish, carrots, green pepper, red cabbage, cucumber kimchi and a fried egg. With the spicy sauce, the bowl made for a filling meal, and I only had a small bit of the rice. My friend had a tuna salad sandwich, which was fine.

The pork bulgogi BBBox was enough to last me three lunches straight. This is my new favorite work lunch spot. The meat and flavor are awesome. As a New Yorker, I’m impressed.

I came out of the metro stop on the way to work and saw this little unsuspecting shop. I decided later that day to go to lunch with my coworkers and suggested this place. There were quite a lot of people in line for these sandwiches, which was a very good sign already. Reasonably priced and the KBBQ sub is STUFFED with saucy, slightly spicy meat and yummy pickled veggies. The turkey melt is also a popular favorite and my coworker liked it. It made me full for the whole day. I really want to try their bowls next time!

Really good food at really good prices. They may have a small sitting space, but their food packs a punch while making it light on your wallet, digital or physical. Try the K-BBQ Sub. it's like a Philly cheesesteak, but Korean style. Be prepared for a slight bit of heat, though.

Mike’s is a nice spot. I stopped in to grab a bacon egg & cheese and a steak & egg sandwich. Service was quick & the ladies that work the grill was nice. My Steak sandwich was delicious, i gotta slide back thru there next time I’m in the area.
