Honestly this cafe 86 is my favorite. The decor is top notch. They have some things that are like, if you know you know. I'd have some of these things in my man cave if I could. The service was kind and friendly too. Julie was really warm and welcoming. It's always a plus when you get great service with great food. My favorite thing here is the ube monster. When my sweet tooth hits this is what I want. The pastries are also good. Those aren't too sweet. Definitely coming back here as a repeat customer. I suggest you check this place out. Parking is easy as well in the plaza so you don't got to worry about that.
This is my husband's favorite dessert place! Almost every Sunday he has to get the upside-down halo halo. It's so yummy 😋 Honestly all the desserts are good here. Especially anything Ube.
Cafe 86 (est 2014) is a cute lil coffee, tea and smoothie cafe shop in Eagle Rock. It’s located in a large plaza on Fair Park ave. They have other franchise stores in CA and Nevada. Their cafe menu is compendious which offers breadth of coffee, milk teas, smoothie and halo-halo. Similarly, they offer pastries and sandwiches. Interior decor was aesthetic in a spacious layout. It has plenty of tables and chairs. Moreover, it’s naturally well lit thanks to their large north windows. It was my first time visiting this cafe, and ordered a hibiscus calamansi tea and an ube flan cupcake. Drink was refreshing and its not too sweet in flavor. Similarly, the cupcake was soft and moist with a hint of ube. Staff were cordial and affable. Prices were reasonable and reflects the market value of goods/services. Atmosphere was relaxing with a strong a/c and good music. Parking was easy given its in a large plaza. Collectively, it’s a nice cafe and I had a splendid experience. Overall, I recommend this cafe.
So thrilled to see Cafe 86 expand! I used to go to their Old Town location and then in Glendale whenever I’m in town. Nice to see one finally in Eagle Rock! Great staff, yummy treats, and perfect location!
I like this new location. It’s bright and quite spacious. The ube cupcake and ube tres leches are family favorites. The server was accommodating for an off menu request. She made a Nathan Palmer using calamansi juice and a shot of espresso.
