Overwinter Coffee - Downtown Buffalo

Crema's Take

Overwinter is a beloved downtown Buffalo gem that's mastered the art of the grab-and-go without sacrificing quality, earning devoted regulars who swing by for expertly crafted lattes and fresh-baked pastries before work. What truly sets them apart is their commitment to craft—they brew their own custom chai tea in-house, resulting in a Dirty Chai Latte that's garnered serious praise, and their espresso-focused drinks consistently outshine the competition. The small, quaint space on Main Street has just enough seating to linger with a matcha tea or creative specialty drink, but it's really designed for those moments when you need something exceptional fast.

Overwinter coffee is one of my favorite places to grab a quick latte or fresh baked good before I head into work or on my lunch break. This downtown location is definitely the grab and go spot, with very limited indoor seating, but it's not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. They're always super quick to get what you order and you on your way and the quality never suffers. Staff is always super nice too! Overwinter has a fun rotating selection of seasonal menu options, but you never go wrong with the classic mocha latte, which is just the right balance of sweet and not too sweet for me! Pictured is their current secret menu item, the ube latte 💜

Stopped by for a quick hot and cold vanilla latte. The coffee was better here than the other location I tried. Place is small and only a few seating options in and out available. Service was great and coffee came out quick.

A small, quaint shop in the heart of downtown Buffalo, right on Main Street (along the Metro route), at the intersection of Huron. And close to the "Fountain Plaza" station. I stop here often for their iced vanilla latte (with an extra shot) which, dare I say, is "Best in Show" in Buffalo, NY. A bold, distinctive, and extremely tasty coffee flavor with just the right amount of (whole) milk and (vanilla) sweetness. I can't recommend enough, and can't wait until my next visit.

I was staying at the Hyatt for the Buffalo Marathon. I walked over to Overwinter Coffe, and I am so glad I did. It is a quaint coffee shop with a small selection of tasty pastries. The blueberry lemon scone was phenomenal. I ordered an Americano, which was made with perception. I enjoyed a beautiful May morning sitting right outside. If you are in the area, I highly recommend Overwinter Coffee.
