“Perched with mountain views and plane-watching potential, The Flying Spoon has recently reimagined itself as a welcoming spot where quality espresso and house-made vanilla bean syrup anchor a full breakfast and brunch menu. The staff here makes a real effort to make you feel like a regular from your first visit, whether you're grabbing a quick coffee to go or settling in for a leisurely meal that pairs well with the stunning Santa Paula scenery.”

We came here for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable and eager to return. The views are stunning, and the establishment is exceptionally clean and well maintained. We will definitely be coming back.
Been here a few times for breakfast/brunch or even a quick coffee to go. Their coffee is great- good quality espresso and their vanilla bean syrup is made in house. I highly recommend trying their vanilla bean lattes, they are delicious. Biscuits are freshly made and a must try if you like biscuits and gravy. Service is always great, love this hidden gem in SP
I was disappointed the place had changed. I’m a creature of habit and was going for the usual good diner style food i.e. corn beef hash, biscuits and gravy, ham steak etc. The place is now remodeled (updated) and looks nice, but too fancy for me lol. The worst part is having to get in line to order from the limited menu and then grab your own water, find a table, and you don’t get really get waited on. It’s a completely different vibe for sure. In with the new, out with the old. Workers are nice and explained the new format. It’s all good, but I miss the old place. The food I ordered was good, no complaints on that. Wish them the best.
We had a great brunch here! Yes, the format is different than the previous restaurant, but they now have seating so you can eat and watch the planes. Everyone was super friendly and we really enjoyed our food.
Thought I would try it out after hearing it was remodeled and in new hands. Met my sister there for lunch. It had a new look and saw it was expanded with a nice mountain view on one side. I was disappointed that the format had changed to where you had to wait in line to look at a menu and place an order at a register before even being seated. If you're expecting to be seated and served coffee first thing, you'll have to go elsewhere. The food service was slow. I chose breakfast and it was average, but priced on the high side. Too few menu items. I hope they work out the bugs. It was a soft opening phase after all. Wishing them luck!
