Blue Bottle Coffee

701 Village Ct, Santa Rosa, CA

Crema's Take

This newly opened Blue Bottle in Montgomery Village brings a fresh, industrial-minimalist aesthetic with plenty of breathing room—seven tables, multiple benches, and comfortable seating throughout. Beyond their espresso foundations, they're earning early recognition for creative signature drinks like the NOLA and Cherry Blossom alongside solid traditional pours and cold brew, though note that oat milk comes as the default so you'll want to specify whole milk if that's your preference. The staff shows genuine warmth despite early growing pains with morning rush waits, and the accessible location with ample parking makes it an easy neighborhood anchor for specialty coffee seekers.

Just opened and new to Montgomery Village! We are excited to have Blue Bottle Coffee in the neighborhood. I have tried a variety of drinks - NOLA, Cherry Blossom, and cold brew - and overall I really like the coffee. My husband is a big fan of the cortado. They are still working out a few kinks: one visit had a long wait and another time they ran out of oat milk and substituted without asking. But we are hopeful as they settle in!

Yay for Blue Bottle Santa Rosa (finally!!). Coffee and espresso review at the end. This cafe has a fresh modern design with lots of seating (7 small tables, 5 benches, 12-14 chairs). It's in a great location and has a dedicated ordering app making getting a REAL coffee easy. Next door to Mendocino Farms located in Montgomery Village. Disclaimer: I'm an absolute coffee snob and love and search for amazing filter and espresso coffee. Blue Bottle is one of the few chains that keeps their standards HIGH and I love them for it. Espresso (ristretto) 5/5 strong and smooth hits of chocolate and cinnamon. High quality water and machine maintenance means the shot tasted not bitter but only yummy coffee flavors condensed into a tiny sip of awesome. This is the best espresso pull in Santa Rosa at this writing (since Flying Goat closed :() Filter Coffee "batch brew" (drip coffee). This locations isn't doing pour over yet. They are using the most complex and best commercial brewers in the world. They do a better job than the best Fetco (commercial drip manufacturer) I've tasted and every nuance of the roast and coffee bean was perfect. If you love coffee you'll be happy you came and if you are already a Blue Bottle patron living in the North Bay, come on by!!

Very Industrial Grey concrete interior, simplistic, practical, easy access, parking, and accessible to all of Montgomery Village. Short limited staff. Long wait for orders at 10 am in the morning.

OAT MILK IS DEFAULT "Oat Milk" and "Whole Milk" sound very similar when ordering. So just as a PSA, if you like real milk to compliment the complex flavors in coffee, you have to ask for "Whole Milk" as oat milk is their default. The espresso drinks are very good with real milk, not great with oat milk. Not sure why oat milk is a default, but just be aware that this coffee shop is just different in this way. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the great latte! The cafe is small but there is a good amount of outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Good vibes overall.

Congrats on opening day! I stopped in shortly before closing and even at the end of the day Tierra, Roe, and Shelly were welcoming and attentive, the space felt fresh, and my cappuccino was delicious. Excited to have y’all in the neighborhood!
