Rinkside Cafe
6985 Santa Felicia Dr, Isla Vista, CA
Crema's Take
“This cozy rink-side spot in Isla Vista serves up stellar pizza slices and an impressive beer selection in a genuinely welcoming atmosphere where the staff actually remembers you're there. It's the kind of place where hockey fans camp out for NHL games, families linger over surprisingly good food, and the owner listens to feedback—they're even working through permitting to expand their menu beyond their solid pizza offerings. Come for the late-night slices and friendly vibes, stay because you feel like a regular from your first visit.”

Fantastic pizza and beer selection! The only bar in town consistently showing NHL games.
What a genuinely AMAZING experience. The service was top notch, timely, welcoming and HOLY COW was the food good. We had the D-Dawg, slice of Hawaiian, and a slice of Combo pizza. Great portion size, plenty of toppings, and all freshly made. Plus they're open late for those late-night cravings. Definitely give them a go! 10/10
All they had was pizza slices - which were good! But not sure if they recently stopped with the larger variety of food. Edit - Owner reached out and said they are dealing with permitting and construction projects. They expect to have a full menu again come Summer '24. There was no information about this anywhere so hopefully this saves someone a trip.
I recently visited an ice rink café and had a wonderful experience. The café had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The menu offered a great variety of food and beverages, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. I enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate while watching local hockey game. The food options were equally satisfying, with tasty snacks and light meals perfect for a quick bite between skating sessions. What impressed me the most was the convenience of the café's location. Being right next to the ice rink meant that we could easily take a break from skating and grab a refreshment without venturing too far. It added a lot of convenience to the overall experience. Overall, the ice rink café provided a delightful combination of good food, friendly service, and a picturesque view of the ice rink. Whether you're a skater or a spectator, it's a great spot to relax, enjoy some refreshments, and soak in the lively atmosphere.
had a great experience, the gluten free slice was good and very fairly priced. service was very welcoming, was willing to make any kind of slice i wanted for the same price
