Crema's Take
“Island Java Bk is a neighborhood gem where owner Celine and her warm team craft inventive signature drinks like their standout Pumpkin Spice Bun Latte with a Caribbean twist, paired with exceptional pastries that keep customers coming back for more. The spacious, welcoming atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between a cozy spot to linger over a carefully made cinnamon roll latte and a comfortable place to settle in and work for hours.”

The few times that I’ve been to Island Java and I haven’t given my review yet is ridiculous lol but better late than never! While I respect coffee shops that keep it simple, I prefer to go to a place that has a variety of things and Island Java provides exactly that! They got flavors for dayssss so all the more reason to keep coming back lol Plus Celine’s energy is VERY welcoming and her energy alone will make you a repeat customer 🙏🏽
I stopped in one Saturday afternoon and was greeted by the lady at the counter and another lady, who I will assume is the owner. I ordered a large cinnamon roll latte and a cinnamon roll. Cinnamon roll latte, 5 out of 5. It was excellent, just the way I liked it. The overall flavor was very, very good. Keep in mind if you’re getting the large, the straw will be too short. I would love the option of a longer straw. Cinnamon roll, 4.5 out of 5. I think I should’ve asked for it to be warmed. It was good, but that was a mistake on my part. They also offer breakfast sandwiches and other pastries to go along with your drink. Inquire about it, I know the guava and cheese danish isn’t available (but I was told that they would order it if enough customers asked for it). There’s a seating area in the back if you’re working from home and would like somewhere to drink your coffee at. Overall, great experience and I would be back!
10s across the board. Happy to finally have a staple cafe in the neighbourhood! I had the Pumpkin Spice Bun Latte - perfectly made with a Caribbean flavor! And the owner Celine was such a sweetheart and good vibe. My friends and I felt welcomed into the space. Also shoutout to Aunty/Grandma Carol lol 💚 The place is beautiful and cozy. Definitely keeping this place in my awareness and will be back soon! 🤗
As today was the first of the month and wanted to try to step out of coffee shops and areas that I am way too familiar with; and here I come across this amazing coffee shop! The moment I walked in, the energy, bright smile of the owner and her sister and the musicccc-chilllleeee, I couldn’t resist just staying a few hours. Matcha was amazing! Passionfruit lemonade is a must try! Along with the ambience and readily available books in the lounging area…. HOME is all I felt just working and being at peace. Plants were pleasantly placed around-given an earthy/nature feel. As a plant girl, I couldn’t resist. IslandJava was a home away from home. Whenever I work remotely, or just want to vibe out with girls…this will be my spot. I love this place. My second home, indeed!
Great new coffee shop. Staff was. Rey nice and helpful. The store is very cute and has a good amount of seats. Seems like a good spot to work too. The coffee was also very good and flavorful. Would recommend if in the area!
