Killebrew Coffee

Crema's Take
“Tucked inside the Thompson Hotel, this espresso-focused spot opens early and welcomes both hotel guests and neighborhood regulars with genuine warmth and skilled barista work. Their cold brew gets particular praise for its clean, lightly flavored profile, and reviewers consistently call out the friendly, attentive service—especially when you get a chance to chat with standout baristas like Paul. It's an ideal quick grab for morning coffee and pastries, whether you're catching a specialty drink before work or taking shelter from a Nashville rainstorm with your dog.”

Cute little coffee shop with friendly staff! I ordered a caramel cold brew with cold foam and it wasn’t quite what I expected as far as taste. If you enjoy a lightly flavored coffee, you’ll enjoy this, it just didn’t quite hit for me.
Killebrew Coffee is in the Thompson Hotel, which is where my wife and I were staying while visiting Nashville. We visited twice during our stay, the first was later in the afternoon. There were several seasonal drinks available, and plenty of non-dairy milk options, including coconut milk. My wife opted for one of the seasonal drinks, which was made with flavored syrup and included some special toppings, including glitter. The drink was presented very nicely. I ordered a coconut milk latte. The coffee was good, and the lattes were served hot, which seems to be an issue at some coffee shops. I traditionally order extra hot but did not for this order. We visited again the following morning and ordered the same two drinks. Unfortunately, with this being inside a hotel, there was a long line, and it seemed to be moving very slowly. After waiting 10 mins, another barista showed up and got the line moving quickly. Drinks were served just as good as the day prior. We also ordered a muffin, which was just ok, and they did not offer to warm any of their pastries. For the area, there seemed to be only a few non-Starbucks coffee shops, so I would recommend this if you were staying in the area or visiting for the morning or afternoon.
Had an amazing experience at Killerbrew Coffee inside the Thompson Hotel! Paul, the barista, was absolutely fantastic — quick, friendly, and made one of the best coffees I’ve had in a while. The service was spectacular and efficient. I’d definitely recommend everyone to stop by for their delicious coffee, fresh puffs, and pastries. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy great vibes with excellent service!
My husband and I frequently visit killebrew for morning coffee and pastries as we live right down the street. I popped by solo while out on a dog walk the other day as it was raining and figured a tea would make my rainy walk home a bit better. When I came in (around 10 am) the sign was placed right in front of the register almost blocking it and no one was behind the counter. I double checked the hours to make sure I wasn’t losing it. I placed my tea order when 2 male employees did decide to appear. They seemed very confused by my black tea order (which I’ve gotten many times) and said it would “take a while.” I assured them I wasn’t in a rush due to the rain. I pulled out my phone and was informed that you guys don’t accept Apple Pay. The barista very bluntly told me that your establishment is card or cash only. It’s odd because both my husband and I have used Apple pay at this location before. While out on neighborhood walks, I rarely ever bring my wallet or cash with me. I’m confused as to why in 2025 Apple Pay isn’t accepted and when that switch was made? Even weirder is that the one barista said I could write down my card number and they could ring it up that way. I felt uncomfortable doing so. So you accept cards but not Apple Pay? Either way, I left feeling disappointed but stopped at the newer coffe shop inside Rooted where they greeted me warmly, gave my dog a treat, accepted Apple Pay and made a fantastic herbal tea within a minute. Rooted from here on out I guess!
Friendly service. My husband enjoyed their drop coffee. I enjoyed their killebrew iced coffee. Their pastries looked delicious.
