Berry Pike Cafe

Crema's Take
“Berry Pike Cafe in Wilmette is a warm neighborhood spot where the care really shows—from hand-written notes tucked into to-go orders to thoughtfully crafted sandwiches like the Tasha Secret (a soft bagel loaded with turkey, bacon, melted cheese, and avocado). The waffles are legendary among regulars for their perfect soft-yet-crunchy texture, and the coffee drinks like their classic smoothie pair beautifully with their full breakfast and lunch menu in a quiet, family-friendly setting that feels made for lingering.”

First visit here and love it! I was suggested the sunrise sandwich and it was delicious! Sincerely think it’s worth trying. There’s a lot of different options and if you aren’t sure of what you want, they’ll gladly help you find something that fits your taste.
This place is a great cafe. The waffles are soft yet crunchy. Their sandwiches specifically (The Tasha secret) is super good. a soft bagel with; turkey, bacon melted cheese, mayo, and avacado. Then their is their coffee and smoothies both good in their own aspects. Definitely a nice cafe to come to!
I had such a nice experience at this coffee shop. I took my order to go. I arrived back at my Mom’s house and I opened my bag and found the sweetest hand written note on my to go order. ❤️ We order 2 veggie bagel sandwiches and they were still warm when I arrived home and they were delicious! My Mom loved her vanilla latte and my pumpkin chai was scrumptious!! This would be my go to place if I lived here. ❤️
The Ruben was amazing! It's as good as it looks. Get the classic smoothie! Place was quiet and clean. You can tell they really care about making delicious food. Super friendly too! Highly recommend!
honestly, i was so offended by this place. first, no menu prices— ordered the hazelnut velvet drink (which did not disclose that it had nutella which i don’t particularly like) and the staff did not even know what the drink was and i had to point it out on the menu. they added $1.25 for oat milk (normal), $1.25 for hazelnut, $0.99 for ice on top of a base cost of ~$5.80 for a regular sized drink. so already put off by paying $9 for a regular sized drink. also ordered the sunrise bagel for a total of ~$24. next, the food comes out and the bagel has clearly been microwaved after toasting (it is chewy and gummy). the ingredients are sparse— thin layer of liquid carton egg, low quality ham, bacon is okay, cheese. they microwaved the sandwich to melt the cheese i believe lol. also the bagel is tiny and a bagel you could buy at like costco/in a regular store— overall was upset because its something i could’ve made at home for a fraction of the cost. my friend also got the the snook/lox bagel— thin layer of salmon, barely any cream cheese, 5 capers, and a sprinkle of onions. bagel is toasted but again its not that high of quality. can definitely get a better lox bagel anywhere else in evanston for cheaper. hazelnut drink was okay (minus the nutella) and my friend’s regular hot coffee was not filled to the top. we ate outside and one of the staff came outside and had the audacity to ask for a review. here is my review. i don’t want to give local places bad reviews but this place honestly was such a waste of money and time. :(
