Crema's Take

This intimate Filipino-inspired spot packs serious flavor into a tiny brick-and-mortar space, where house-made musubis like the longanisa with egg and spicy tocino fly off the shelves by afternoon. Beyond the savory hits, their ube banana pudding has earned devoted fans who keep coming back, paired perfectly with expertly crafted specialty and traditional coffee drinks. Go early, grab your order quick, and embrace the no-frills vibe—this place is all about the food, not the seating.

The musubi and the ube banana pudding are absolutely incredible. The longanisa with egg is particularly delicious. Pretty small place, so don't expect to be able to sit and eat. The musubis might feel expensive at first blush, but they're pretty substantial so the value is pretty good.

Finally made it to Kanin after only catching them at pop-ups, and the brick-and-mortar does not disappoint! Even arriving in the afternoon when most musubi were sold out, the Longanisa Musubi was a total standout—perfect snap and flavor. The Lugaw is pure comfort, and the Ube Banana Pudding is a must-order (creamy, vibrant, and not too sweet). Chill vibes and essential eating if you’re in Ravenswood. Get there early if you want the full musubi selection!

Both the Spicy Tocino and the Longanisa with Egg Musubi were delicious. The Ube Banana Pudding was the highlight and tasted excellent. I would gladly come back to try other dishes.

Musubis were good! I thought the ube banana pudding was tasty but definitely something you can make at home. Will come back tho! There's free street parking around the area and the staff were friendly.

So happy I got to stop by this place! It's a small spot and I wanted to get there before the rush so I got there a little after they opened. The parking situation is 0 out of 10! There's street parking but it's not easy to find. I came in and thought the decor and vibe was very cute and inviting. It feel like I was at a small shop in Hawaii. The service was good and the man in front took my order right away. I ordered 5 misubis, a Classic Spam, a Spam and Egg, a Tomato and Egg, Longonisa and Egg and a Sinigang Shrimp. The Classic Spam misubi was good, very traditional with nice and subtle but good flavors. The Spam and Egg misubi was also very good with the egg being very stable but also fluffy at the same time! The Longonisa and Egg misubi was so good! Perfect taste in every bite and not to sweet and a little charred, it was so well balanced! And the Sinigang Shrimp misubi was perfectly balanced with a touch of sour that makes you come running back for more! In addition I got a cucumber salad from the fridge whoch was very fresh ans a little sweet. And I also got the Ube Banana Pudding and OH MY GOODNESS! I dont evwn like banana pudding but this one! This Ube Banana Pudding was absolutely heavenly! Overall, 10 out of 10, I would recommend this place every time and cant wait to come back!
