Alleycat Coffee House
120 1/2 W Laurel St, Fort Collins, CO
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Fort Collins, Alleycat Coffee House draws a devoted crowd with its moody, artistic vibe—dim lighting, indie music, and creative drawings that make it feel less like a caffeine pit stop and more like your cool friend's living room. While cleanliness concerns and occasional execution mishaps have rattled some visitors, the genuinely warm staff and newly expanded globally-inspired bowl menu keep regulars coming back, especially those seeking a laptop-friendly spot with real character that actually cares about making you feel at home.”

this place is EXTREMELY dirty. if you just take two seconds and look around you’ll see the grime and cobwebs everywhere. it looks like they have never cleaned in this establishment EVER. bad coffee and dirty atmosphere. I understand the “artsy” aspect of it but being artsy doesn’t require being disgusting and dingy.
Super cozy and friendly. The staff is super nice. I come here fairly often, probably my favorite coffeeshop in FoCo. The vibe is awesome, dim lights and indie music and drawings everywhere, fairy lights and art... The only thing is that it is AWFUL to find seating sometimes, partly because it really is just that popular, and for good reason. I HIGHLY recommend any of their grilled cheeses, the bread they use is amazing.
I love to seek out coffee’s shops that are cool looking and have a great vibe, but honestly this only has a cool esthetic. My avocado toast was laughable, my drink was made incorrectly and the barista was not friendly at ALL. I understand being short staffed or not properly closed the night before ( I heard all about it from my table), but it doesn’t take much effort to be kind to the patrons coming in.
Stopped by the Alleycat midday with the family and noticed the new Globally-Inspired rice bowl menu. Decently priced and great-sized portions. We tried the Athens Bowl, Rio Bowl, and Chihuahua Bowl, but I liked the names of the others (Tokyo Bowl, Seoul Bowl, and Hollywood Bowl). Delicious! I highly recommend checking them out.
Super cool coffee shop to hang out and do work, homework, or play board games. Lots of seating and cool atmosphere. The coffee and smoothies were good. The food options were pretty limited, especially for celiacs. Definitely recommend to hang!
