Rōk Coffee and Tea

Crema's Take
“Rōk Coffee and Tea is a Koreatown gem that's earned its reputation as one of LA's top matcha destinations, with reviewers raving about creative drinks like their strawberry shortcake matcha and a surprisingly excellent coffee duo that punches above expectations. The serene, Zen-inspired space complete with a cherry blossom tree creates an ideal setting for lingering over your drink, though arrive early or off-peak since this spot draws consistent crowds despite its limited seating. Whether you're after their signature matcha creations or quality coffee, the pastry selection and warm atmosphere make it worth the potential wait.”

One of the top rated matcha place in K-Town, expect a bit of a queue. Limited seating space, but not lots of people tend to stay so if you’re lucky you’ll still find a spot to sit and enjoy your drink. Friends love the matcha duo, but for me it’s the mugwort duo. Parking wise: street parking or the valet parking next to the cafe.
On a cold Monday evening, my partner and I had just arrived in LA. We needed a good matcha pick me up, so what better than the number one ranked matcha on Beli. We got the strawberry shortcake matcha and a regular matcha latte. Both were great and had a lot of strong matcha flavor. The strawberry shortcake also actually tasted like strawberry shortcake which blew me away. The portions were a little small, but this place serves quality matcha.
Visited Rok Coffee and Tea in K-Town on Christmas Day, and man, this place is popular! The line was insanely long—definitely the spot to be, but be prepared to wait. The drinks totally lived up to the buzz, though. We tried the hot matcha latte, an iced matcha latte, and the chestnut latte. Honestly? All of them were fantastic and super tasty. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The vibes inside are great—lots of energy, people buzzing around, and plenty of social media streaming going on. It’s a very "LA" scene. My only gripe is that the line is just a bit too long for me to make this a daily stop. Pro-tip: Parking is mostly on the street, so keep that in mind before you head over. If you have the patience for the queue, the drinks are worth it!
Stop by to get my caffeine fix, my expectations were low, but i was pleasantly surprised their coffee duo is a masterpiece no wonder the place was buzzing pack to the gills, is strong yet manageable with bitter taste of the cacao, the sweetness of the agave and the balancing taste of the milk. Cheer delight. Also their strawberry matcha was simply delicious. Everything was so good that I had to come for a second time in Christmas eve. This time I tried the mango marcha, it was good but the strawberry is the best. Customer service is superb. Highly recommend the rok
Beautiful cafe space within Koreatown. The interior is designed with a Zen like atmosphere with a cherry blossom tree near the seating area. The matcha latte was delicious and the pastries were also tasty as well. The cafe seems to specialize in different matcha drinks, where you could choose either hot or cold. Highly recommend checking out the cafe if your a matcha lover!
