The Vintage
3121 Magazine St, Gretna, LA
Crema's Take
“The Vintage is a late-night refuge in Gretna where coffee and cocktails blur together beautifully, complete with a breakfast happy hour that gets French 75s flowing at $7 before 11am. The vibe leans pleasantly unhurried and hipstery—think lingering conversations over some of the best coffee in the area rather than rushed caffeine runs—with creative signature drinks and pastries (though beignet opinions vary) that make it worth settling in for a while. It's the kind of place regulars keep coming back to after years because the consistency and welcoming atmosphere just work.”

I’ve already been here multiple times but love it and needed to leave a review to acknowledge how consistent this place still is after 3 years of going here! My dad got the seared tuna salad, I got the Italian panini toasted to perfection! If you like small bites and a quality cocktails Joe is a phenomenal bartender and makes stellar recommendations and has the patience of an angel! I absolutely would not skip this place if your strolling down magazine or looking for a pit stop during your day drinking shenanigans.
A hipstery bar and coffee shop with good donuts but leisurely service. It’s definitely a place to hang out rather than to stop in for a quick cup of coffee, not that there’s any shortage of those along that stretch of Magazine. But this one is one of the classier options, so if you’re meeting someone you want to impress, it’s a good bet.
Open late. Vibe is nice especially at night, and service is good but it did take a while which makes sense since it was late. But the Beignets are just not good. They're super dense and the s'mores filling was this weird white syrup and some chocolate. The normal one (3/5) was okay. I'd just get a drink next time and vibe instead.
My experience at this café was amazing. The coffee is some of the best I’ve had, and their beignets are the best in New Orleans. I’ve tried four different places, and this one is definitely the top. They are so delicious, especially the cinnamon beignet. The breakfast is also excellent. Their iced coffee is also delicious I tried the iced latte with oat milk, and it was amazing. The hot coffee is just as good. Overall, this has been my best café experience in New Orleans so far. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Beignet.
My girls and I came here and had a TIME. They have a breakfast happy hour from 8-11am where all the drinks are $7! Baby! Them French 75s went so crazy in the best way. The shrimp and grits were OK. Needed more seasoning by NOLA’s standards but we’re good to soak up everything. We also tried the beignet flight which I thought was so cool. They had a matcha beignet, raspberry and a blueberry cheesecake blueberry and those were so yummy. I will definitely be back. The concept of a beignet flight and happy hour really blew my mind. This is now a staple in our girls trip itinerary. 10/10. I have a full review on my TT: verymuchoutside_
