Crema's Take

Tucked into an unassuming Scottsdale strip mall, this credential-backed patisserie is a hidden gem for those seeking serious pastries and slow-sit coffee culture. They keep things beautifully simple—just excellent black coffee paired with a rotating selection of French-style pastries, artisan breads, and seasonal creations like huckleberry cream cheese danish and pumpkin almond croissants that draw devoted regulars. The owner's genuine warmth and late hours (open until 9pm) make it the rare neighborhood spot where you can linger over a genuine croissant and espresso without pretense or compromise.

Excellent and well credentialled bakery in a very unsuspecting strip mall! Baked offerings include a wide variety of pastries, some cakes (slices, primarily I think), and loaves of bread. Try their Morning Buns! I'm not sure if they have other drinks, but I enjoyed a drip coffee.

Stumbled upon this local pastry place as a tourist visiting the area. Loved this huckleberry cream cheese!!! We bought the last few pieces at 10am, I guess it’s really popular here. There were also signs that the bakery owner won some awards. As for the seating available, there are 2 tables outdoor.

I haven’t tried the bread or bakery items yet, but they look good. They only serve black coffee, so there’s no Americano. Seating is outdoor only.

The owner was super nice and gave me tons of suggestions! 🥰 I totally loved the pumpkin almond croissant. 🥐 I even got a coffee cake for my husband and a fresh loaf of artisan sourdough bread. Everything was fresh and yummy. The pastries and bread had an amazing texture. The flavors were spot on. It was a bit pricier than I expected, but it's a small shop, so it makes sense. They're opening another spot in Phoenix. I'd definitely come back again.

We came later in the evening for some late night pastries. Immediately greeted and helped and the selection left was still good despite it being relatively late. We came at 730pm they close at 9pm. The pastries are gorgeous and life changing. The mocha toffee danish especially is something I will be thinking about for the rest of my life. Perfect balance of sweetness. My husband said the tomato thyme savory tart was the best thing he’s ever eaten. Will be back and recommending to everyone!
