Crema's Take

This restored 1920s citrus packing house is as much a destination for wandering through vintage boutiques and trying multiple restaurants as it is for coffee, making it perfect if you want your caffeine paired with some serious browsing and people-watching. The college crowd from Claremont's five nearby universities keeps the vibe young and lively without being pretentious, and the original industrial bones of the building—complete with vintage warehouse charm—give the whole experience character you won't find at a standard strip mall. Come for a casual sit with friends, grab a light bite, and plan to spend the afternoon exploring rather than rushing through.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Light food on the menu. Family friendly. Parking available.

Great adaptive reuse of an old citrus packing house. Great selection of restaurants, a coffee shop and other stores help solidify Claremont as the old town pasadena of the eastern IE. For sure must be haunted.
