Crema's Take

Gong Cha in Worcester has earned fierce loyalty for consistently excellent boba drinks, with customers raving about their perfectly chewy tapioca pearls and specialty creations like the Dirty Brown Sugar that keep people coming back even after moving away. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful staff touches—like unexpected gifts upon arrival—make it feel more like a friend's favorite spot than just a bubble tea shop, though some adventurous tea drinkers wish the oolong flavors came through a bit more boldly against the milk.

On my last visit. The milk taste was quite strong, and the oolong flavor wasn’t very noticeable. Maybe adjusting the tea to milk ratio could enhance the authentic oolong taste. Sharing this as a suggestion for improvement.

I moved to a whole different country and I still think about this one boba place. It was always popping, the tapioca pearls were never stale or hard, and the drinks were always perfect. The staff was super friendly too. I’m thinking about it extra hard right now because the Gong Cha where I currently live don’t hit the same🫣

This was my first time at Gong Cha and guess what? I’m really enjoying these three drinks! I was even gifted a bag ready to go when I arrived, which was such a sweet surprise. The seasonal atmosphere is warm, cozy, and so inviting. If you haven’t tried it yet, download the Too Good To Go app and get your surprises too! It’s such a fun way to discover delicious treats. 🎉🧋✨ Overall, a wonderful first visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Gong Cha is such a cozy and chill spot—perfect for hanging out or grabbing a treat. Their boba drinks are super tasty and made fresh. I highly recommend trying the Dirty Brown Sugar or Crème Brûlée Milk Tea—they’re seriously next level. One of my faves is the Passion Fruit Green Tea. It’s made with roasted green tea leaves and has a smooth, full flavor with hints of passion fruit, mango, and guava. So refreshing! Also, don’t leave without trying their soft serve. It’s super creamy and the flavors change every week—think Matcha, Taro, Coconut, Oolong, Chocolate, and more. You can even mix flavors and add Oreos (bottom, middle, or top of your cup or waffle cone). Total game changer—you’ll thank me later!

I confess that I know nothing about bubble tea, flavored tea and coffee drinks or bubble waffles. I drink a lot of high end Chinese and Japanese tea, traditionally prepared. However, I stopped by today to have a beverage and check the place out — ordered a hot lychee oolong (that was quite good). Nicely set up cafe; spacious, natural light and clean. I can see why other reviewers have a good opinion of it. I can see bringing my young grandsons here for bubble tea and their speciality waffles.
