LDU Coffee
2650 N Fitzhugh Ave, Dallas, TX
Crema's Take
“LDU Coffee pulls off that rare balance of being both a quick caffeine stop and a genuinely welcoming place to linger, with staff who treat every order like it matters and signature drinks like their vanilla and honey cinnamon lattes that inspire real loyalty. While the cute, energetic atmosphere and espresso-focused drinks shine, inconsistencies with portion sizes and the lack of Wi-Fi mean you're better off treating this as a destination for a quality coffee experience rather than a work session.”

The coffee shop has a really cute atmosphere, and the matcha was decent. My only disappointment was that there’s no Wi-Fi available, which makes it hard to stay and get any work done. It would be great if they offered it in the future. Overall, a nice spot, just not ideal for working or studying.
I actually enjoy LDU but this is ridiculous. Ordered a 16oz long black coffee and clarified I did not want room for anything else. When measured, it’s less than even 12oz. Why do they even offer 16oz if they’re not going to fill up the cup? This isn’t the first time getting a 16oz long black and getting cut short but this is the most egregious. Especially given it’s not a cheap coffee shop. Do better.
I always order the same thing at coffee shops— an iced latte with oatmilk. This is one of the best ones I’ve ever had! They have the friendliest staff ever and the environment is so welcoming! If you’re looking to try out a new shop PLEASE consider this one! Thank you guys for everything y’all do!🫶 *also please note they do not have WiFi! And that’s ok! I’m sure you have WiFi at home, if not there’s like a million other places in the area that do.
We have tried multiple coffees and sandwiches at LDU now and have been very impressed. We love their vanilla latte as well as a honey cinnamon latte with oat milk. The Yolk Oh O No sandwich is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches. with the sun dried tomatoes being a great flavor add. Service was extremely kind when I went in and our orders were always prepared in a timely manner. Overall, I am a big fan of LDU and plan to come back.
LDU Coffee is hands down my favorite coffee shop of all time, and that’s saying a lot considering I’ve been to over 80 coffee shops. From the moment you walk in, you feel the energy, hospitality, and rhythm that makes this place special. Josh and Ben are my go to baristas, they know their craft and their people. Whether it’s a simple black coffee or one of the artsy wishes like a latte or cortado, they always get it right. The quality is unmatched, and the consistency keeps me coming back. And a huge shoutout to Adam, one of the owners. Even in the middle of a rush, he still makes it a point to greet me by name and shake my hand. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare, and it’s what makes LDU stand out above the rest. It’s more than just coffee here, it’s community, connection, and quality all in one.
