Rooster Cafe
750 St Clair St, Costa Mesa, CA
Crema's Take
“Rooster Cafe is a welcoming independent spot in Costa Mesa where the kitchen moves fast and the staff genuinely cares about making your visit special, whether you're rolling in solo or with a crowd. Their breakfast and lunch fare—think perfectly executed short stacks, creative chicken pesto sandwiches on sourdough, and breakfast burritos—consistently impresses visitors enough to keep them coming back, and the charming neighborhood location adds to the draw. Fair warning: it gets pleasantly busy in the mornings, but the quality and hospitality make it worth the wait.”

Walked in with a large group and they were so accommodating. Great food. Great service. Conner has been our favorite waiter in all of Europe so far! He gave great recommendations on the menu and other things to in Florence. Ask for Conner!
This was a random breakfast stop and it was delicious. The area is absolutely adorable. You go in, order your food, pick a spot to sit and eat, and await that yummy food. I got the breakfast burrito and my daughter got the short stack combo. She offered the highest praise I've ever heard her say when she called them "heavenly pancakes."
We are visiting from Douglasville Georgia to see family and was searching for breakfast places to visit and Rooster was the first on my Google search 1st time I had the short stack combo it was cooked to perfection and delicious 2nd day eating had the french waffles combo and delicious also friendly staff and patrons kept checking on us to make sure everything was good we will be coming back to visit California again and will make it my business to come and eat at this establishment.
The food came out very quickly and was SO good. It's a bit pricey for what it is but I'll be back nonetheless. Substituted the roll with sourdough for the chicken pesto and it was so yummy!
Long time enjoyer of this establishment. The quality has remained consistently above bar. The staff is always pleasant and very helpful. It gets busy in the morning, easier to get in after noon. I had the breakfast burrito wet on this visit. Amazing food.
