Mac Shack

Crema's Take
“This Brooklyn spot is a cozy haven for creative mac and cheese dishes that go way beyond the basics, with flavor-packed options like oxtail jerk mac pockets and seafood versions loaded with lobster and shrimp. The owner clearly has a genuine passion for the place, creating a warm, art-filled atmosphere where the staff treats you like family while you wait, and every bowl arrives visibly seasoned and satisfyingly generous. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where you linger over comfort food that actually excites you, surrounded by people who genuinely care about your experience.”

Nice and cozy spot to get your fill of Mac n cheese. Has the right amount of cheese pull. I definitely recommend the salmon bite with jerk Mac.
Soooo love the young lady who serviced me, pleasant and place is super clean. Chef seems nice too. Vegan Mac and cheese has a unique twist, spinach in it but this was supposed to be the jerk nothing jerk so thinking this is the classic. Went back for the jerk and it was AMAZING....LOVE THIS PLACE
Everything was so delicious! Oxtail Jerk Mac pockets are my favorite & were literally packed with so much flavor! That seafood mac and cheese had the perfect amount of lobster and shrimp with the perfect cheese pull, noodles was actually seasoned and for a small it can easily serve 2 people! Definitely recommend!!!
Very cozy and warm atmosphere with beautiful art and a wonderful owner who truly cares about her shop. I LOVED the food, so filling for the size and you can see the seasoning in the Mac!!! so yummmyyyyyyyyyyy I’ll def come again!!
Yesterday was my first time at the Mac Shack, and honestly it was worth the wait time. The flavor was out of this world, the staff was kind, they offered me water while I waited and even had a bit of conversation. I paid $18(including tax) for the two piece meal combo. Got the buffalo Mac with Sweet Chili Pepper two piece and it was fire. Would definitely come here again and bring and friend. Also, the old school reggae/pasa pasa music made me feel like gentrification in this neighborhood didn’t exist for just a minute
