Crema's Take
“Gianni Jo's is a spirited gathering spot where the owner Kyle tends bar with genuine expertise, crafting cocktails that showcase hard-to-find ingredients and deep knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer. The sophisticated small plates pair beautifully with drinks, and regulars keep coming back for the convivial atmosphere where stimulating conversation feels like part of the experience itself.”

Kyle provides a unique atmosphere filled with great conversation and knowledge about different spirits, wine, and beer. The food was beyond delicious with a sophisticated taste to it. Highly recommend and will 10/10 be back. Thanks for helping me celebrate my friend’s birthday!
We had a decent experience at this place. The bartender/owner made an excellent cocktail. He had all the ingredients for making one of my favorite drinks where other places do not. The atmosphere was really cool and unique. In my opinion, I think to create a more welcoming atmosphere and lively environment maybe have the music turn up slightly. Felt hollow or something missing sitting at the bar. We felt like we had to whisper. My next opinion is the bartender/owner seemed standoff-ish. We asked a few questions about the establishment and drinks and were given combative or closed ended responses. We visit a lot of places and are loyal customers. We share good and honest experiences to all our friends and family. We also live in the Milwaukee area and are used to great drinks, good service and great atmospheres. I would have loved to stay and had a Negroni because I feel like it would have been amazing unfortunately we didn’t feel welcome or comfortable at this place. It could have been a one off visit but we did not get a great 1st impression.
Great atmosphere! Drinks were on point! Clientele was cool! I didn’t even mind getting charged for the stimulating conversation 😉 or dry cleaning tips!
Would not return. The gnocchi was good but that was the only pro. The cocktails are extremely overpriced at $16 to $18 for very basic drinks. My main disappointment was the service. When I asked the server for a winr list at what is labled as a wine bar. He was dismissive and just said "no" and promptly walked away. According to the menu your options are just "red, white, rose or bubbly". I not going to pay $12 for a mystery glass of wine, especially with that attitude. The meat plate was also a let down 6 small pieces of charcuterie, some olives and bread stick crackers. Not worth the price. Finally there was limited seating but with how expensive this place is and the poor service I doubt this will be a problem for them.
I am always so excited to find a tucked-away hidden gem while I’m out on the road, and Jones & Co is one of those places. I went in on a Tuesday night and was immediately struck by the charm and welcoming vibe. There were a few people sitting at tables, but the bar seats were all filled by people who were clearly having a great time. I started with a perfect classic Negroni and a serving of olives for just $4! For dinner I had the arrabiata gnocchi, which was just the right amount of spicy, and I finished with a VERY generous pour of wine, recommended by the bartender (and I think, owner?). I will definitely be back if I find myself in Appleton again. Highly recommend.
