5 Borough Bagels

We tried 5 Borough Bagels for the first time over the weekend. We each got the Salmon and Cream cheese bagel from the menu. I would have loved a pumpernickel but I didn’t see this option on the menu. I went with a plain bagel and it was nice and crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I wasn’t sure about the addition of spinach, but I didn’t mind it. I really did NOT enjoy the onion on this bagel though… normally bagel places slice their onions really thinly, this was quite chunky, which made the onion flavour extremely overpowering. I landed up trying to pull the onion out, and then still tasted it for the rest of the morning. We also got cappuccinos, which weren’t bad.

Our weekly bagel stop! Fantastic food, clean environment, fun energy, and the best French toast bagel I have ever tasted! Very generous cream cheese servings too!

My husband went on a morning run this past Sunday to grab me one of my latest pregnancy cravings for bagels. I had yet to try this place but it looked promising. It definitely hit the spot! I got the breakfast pepper jack bagel with egg, bacon and cheese and it hit the spot so good. The bacon on the breakfast bagel was probably the best I have had in a breakfast sandwich in a long time crispy and crunchy. Loved it! The cinnamon raisin bagel with honey walnut cream cheese was the best bagel to cream cheese ratio ever. From having lived in the east coast and trying bagels out there I think this is as close to as the bagels out there If not better. The bagel was soft and the cream cheese is perfectly made. I had a plain black brewed coffee with my bagels and I really enjoyed it. Needless to say my pregnancy craving was fulfilled and I will definitely be going back for more. The service was easy you go in and put your order In and they bring it out pretty quick. Highly recommend this place to all bagel lovers out there!

I ordered a few bagels to go, got them toasted and packed only to be surprised that they are very bad and does not look like a bagel. I found a black plastic like thing in everything bagel (refer the image ) and bagel is so skinny and flat and looks so weird. I cannot believe the quality of this branch has gone down so much which was the only go to store for bagels in DSM area. This is not the first time, we’ve been consistently disappointed with the quality of bagels here. Everytime I make a to-go order, the bagels they give are the weird ones. All images attached. PS - I love local food and been a customer for over 3 years.

Delicious bagel sandwiches and coffee! They’ve got a great variety of cream cheeses to choose from, and also a variety of sandwiches! We got breakfast sandwiches and some coffee- all quite good! My family and I will definitely be back!
