Crema's Take
“This newly opened Barnes & Noble is riding a wave of genuine community enthusiasm, with people actually excited to have a full-service bookstore back in Oak Park—just be prepared for serious crowds and long checkout lines since the staff is still catching up to the demand. Beyond the solid café, you're getting a surprisingly robust selection of puzzles, Legos, records, and gifts alongside an impressive manga and comics section, making it more of a cultural hub than your typical bookstore. If you can tolerate the growing pains of a brand-new location, it's worth visiting to support what locals are hoping becomes a lasting neighborhood fixture.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Family friendly. Wifi.

See all on Google →Love the books they have in store, impressed by the Lego collection they have in stock, and very friendly customer service.
My mom was very excited to check out the new store in Oak Park. Pros: It's new. The café. Friendly staff. Besides books, large selection of puzzles, Legos, records, gift bags/paper, etc... Cons: The front doors don't have a wheelchair/ada/walker push button to stay open. Parking…
Not enough staff. It’s just opened and they were NOT prepared for the crowds. They have a second kiosk downstairs for checkout that is not staffed, which contributes to the massive checkout line on the first floor. Was going to buy a book, saw the line, dropped it and walked out.
Really happy that this opened up and I hope it survives well into the future!! It was crowded, which was actually really refreshing to see in the area. It was extremely well stocked and clean. I will say that the organization of the store is a little nuts - it felt at times…
The place was nice they have many books including manga and comics, more than I can imagine! My experience here was very good
