Tea Bar NOLA

If you're not from here and a big fan of boba/bubble tea/tea shops, this will feel very familiar and make you very happy. If you live here and haven't been here, try it. I'd bet you'll love it. They have an extensive collection of teas and other drinks and toppings, including the more recent craze of egg custard. Personally, I love melon flavored anything so the melona with honey popping Boba was incredible. I also got an order of taiyaki and they were fresh and crispy and delicious. They have all the fun stuff, games, collectibles, and fun communal seating, great playlist. They clearly did their research or are people for whom having a nice selection of tea shops nearby was the norm because they nailed every aspect. It's just a great fun place to cool off and talk and have some amazing drinks and snacks. Come here soon, because shops like this are unique and often not as well planned as this one. Show them some love before you lose something very precious. Also, bingsu! Nothing better on those hot, humid days here.

Love this place. My in laws live in Belle Chasse, so whenever I come through I pick up a banh mi poboy and a drink. Always fresh, always delicious. Little gem tucked away that everyone needs to try.

1.) This feels like a family owned restaurant. 2.) The people behind the counter are the absolute sweetest. Great customer service. 3.) The food is fast, fresh and made to order with generous serving portions. 4.) I’m in love with this restaurant! I ordered a spicy wonton soup. It was FILLING!!! it was spicy and flavorful. It had greens 🥬 meat 🥩 wontons 🥟 and crushed peanuts 🥜 and it fed my soul. 💕 I had 1 order of taiyaki and that came with 3 little treats. You can get all 3 as the same flavor or get different flavors. My order came with pepperoni 🍕 ube 🍠 and red bean 🫘 These were all DELICIOUS!! I loved all 3! I also ordered a pookie spicy crepe. This crepe is GINORMOUS!! It’s huge! With a generous amount of filling inside. I honestly thought this treat was going to be a winner for me but it wasn’t my cup of tea. It was a little too fishy for me. But everything else was truly AMAZING! 🤩

The service here was really friendly and quick. The inside of Tea Bar looked really cozy with a wooden aesthetic. I got the Vietnamese Refresher, the Pomegranate Tea, the Thai Tea, & the Butterfly Limeade. All of the drinks were $5.50, so pricing was definitely not bad at all! I also added extra Lychee jelly to the drinks, which costed an extra $0.75 per drink. The Thai Tea was so good! It had a lot of flavor to it. The Vietnamese Refresher was good too, as they had various Vietnamese toppings included in the drink already. The Butterfly Limeade was just okay in my opinion; it just tasted like regular lemonade. And the Pomegranate Tea was also just average; however, this is just only my opinion. Other customers might like it better than I did. The only downside I'll really say is that they forgot to put my extra lychee jelly in the Butterfly Limeade, but aside from that everything else was smooth. Also, Miss Universe Thailand was there, so that was pretty cool haha.

Got the pomegranate slush, avocado slush, and taiyaki flight (red bean, cheese, pepperoni). One of the best avocado slushes I've had, it was so rich. The pom slush was amazing, really bright and refreshing. The pepperoni taiyaki was amazing, the cheese was also good, but where I expected red bean paste I got a sweet red bean filling so if you're into that try it out. Will definitely be coming back (and will probably just get a 3 pack pizza taiyaki next time, their taiyaki was so good)
