Crema's Take

Backporch Coffee Roasters brings genuine warmth to Bend with a crew that genuinely delights in customizing drinks and sharing recommendations, whether you're rushing out or settling in for a while. Their specialty creations lean creative—think turmeric lattes and Bombay breves—though opinions split on execution, with some finding them perfectly balanced and others wishing they weren't quite so sweet. The real draw here is the friendly, accommodating vibe and solid outdoor seating that makes this feel less like a caffeine pit stop and more like visiting friends who happen to make espresso.

Great atmosphere, with solid service but I found the coffee to be mediocre and the price/value not worthy of another visit. I give this place four stars as the atmosphere and the people are really cool, but coffee is something that’s very individual but the price to buy their pre-packaged coffee is priced higher than what it’s worth.

the specialty drinks we ordered were sickly sweet. Turmeric latte that only tasted like sugar. If I wanted caffeine and sugar I’d go to Starbucks. We could not drink them. I’d never had a turmeric latte that used syrup. The Red Point coffee shop in Terrebonne makes an excellent turmeric latte that is not sweet at all. The barista wanted to charge us again for a replacement drink, after we told her we were very sorry, but didn’t want that much sugar in our coffee. Probably won’t go back.

Super friendly people and helpful to share suggestions on favorites as this is not my normal stop for coffee. Tried an Iced Bombay Breve Latte (tasted like fall). It was delicious as a half sweet coffee. So glad I tried it. Service was quick. For a drive through stop it’s one of the nicer ones.

I ordered a pistachio latte but with less milk + more coffee ☕️. The lady was so cool with my complicated order and it tasted delicious! Highly recommend.
