This place is a rare gem on highway 1! The bakery is out of Europe, as delicious as a bakery in New York city. Everything I tried was perfectly done...its worth the price, Im so happy I found this place because while the seafood in Tamales Bay is excellent the coffee and baked goods have been underwhelming so this is the spot.
Clearly 5 stars for food and people. I gave it 5 stars for atmosphere too because of the way you feel like you are a member of the community when you sit outside at the tables and soak in the vibe from the little town and from fellow patrons. Best cookies i ever ate after our hike. Before hike i.had a delicious savory focaccia
Incredible bakery. A gem! Their baked goods were incredible, and if you're looking for something more day-to-day: you must try their bacon egg and cheese muffin breakfast sandwich. Coffee is also top notch! A true cappuccino and latte unlike other places in the area. Very welcoming, would visit again and again!
Route One Bakery & Kitchen is a gem! Their oyster mushroom and sausage pizza is a must-try, and the almond croissant is equally delicious. It's a gathering place for locals and travelers, offering fresh bread, baked goods, and pizza. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Tomales (we actually drove 1+ hour there just to get their pizza and sourdough.😆🤤
