Highlight Coffee
701 E Broadway, Glendale, CA
Crema's Take
“Highlight Coffee has built a loyal following around their signature creations like the butterscotch latte and butternut coffee, both elevated by thoughtful milk choices like oat milk that regulars swear by. Their commitment to quality roasting produces noticeably richer, bolder coffee than chain alternatives, paired with genuinely fresh-baked pastries that feel handcrafted rather than mass-produced. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where you're equally likely to linger solo with a perfect iced latte or meet a friend for an unexpectedly memorable coffee moment.”

Had an awesome iced latte with whole milk. Really delicious! Next time I'm driving through Glendale, I will definitely be stopping here again! Oh, the chocolate chip cookie was tasty also:)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stopped by Highlight Coffee while meeting a friend next door and decided to grab a drink while I waited. I ordered the hot Butternut coffee with oat milk, and it was an absolute perfect marriage of flavors. I’ve written thousands of reviews — usually about full dining experiences, plates of food, atmosphere, decor, or overall ambiance. This is the first time I’ve ever written a review for a single cup of coffee. That’s how good this was. The balance was flawless — slightly salty, subtly sweet, rich but not heavy. Not overly sugary like so many specialty drinks. The oat milk blended beautifully with the butternut and espresso, making it smooth, warm, and incredibly satisfying. This wasn’t just a good coffee. It was memorable. Intentional. Perfectly executed. I’ll absolutely be back.
Been coming to this place for years and the butterscotch latte never misses. It tastes soo creamy and just the perfect sweet treat. Get it with oat milk and a little extra sweetness. My favorite local little cafe.
For where thou art, there is the world itself, with every several pleasure in the world including a good coffee. Without further ado, let us begin this new review. Highlight Coffee (est 2015) is a tiny corner coffee shop nestled in central Glendale. Owned and operated by Mr. Frank Kim. He has another shop in Pasadena. This coffee shop location is at an historic hotel building across the Civic center on Broadway. Cafe’s indoor atmosphere was quite relaxing with a few seats and long wooden bar tables; good background music. They sell some pastries and donuts as well as coffee bags and merch. Menu items were modest and has the basic and specialty drinks. I arrived on a hot midafternoon and was genuinely greeted with warmth by a male barista with cool tattoos. I ordered a Cold Brew (16oz) x milk. It was very smooth, aromatic and refreshing. And barista gave a Spinach Cheese Croissant ostensibly as giveaway since they’re closing soon. I acquiesce on his kindness. Staff was nice and competent. Prices were quite affordable and highly competitive. Quality was awesome. Street metered parking only. Overall, I enjoyed my cold coffee drink and service. I highly recommend this nice coffee shop.
Highlight Coffee is not Starbucks. The way they roast their beans makes the coffee taste richer and bolder. Their baked food looks like stuff from a bakery, not a factory. The people who work their are more like restaurant staff, not baristas.🙄 The atmosphere is fantastic. I uploaded some photos. The building was a hotel built in 1937, sobthe architecturevis fabulous. The windows, the entrance door, and the interior is very inviting. The latte and croissant that I got were uniquely more delicious than anything I have ever gotten at Starbucks.
