Crema's Take

Nestled in the heart of Harvard Square, this Australian-inspired café excels at the art of the extended sit—think generous portions of inventive all-day breakfast (loaded with avocado if you want it) paired with seriously thoughtful coffee and creative specialty drinks that go beyond the usual. The sprawling, light-filled space strikes that rare balance of being both a place to linger with your laptop and a vibrant brunch destination, with a menu that bridges healthy, contemporary fare and indulgent comfort food without pretension.

Love that place for their coffee quality and variations! Both take away and dine in options don’t disappoint! Perfect brunch place when in Harvard Square! My last order was bacon eggs and cheese croissant and that was one of the best I ever had(I usually don’t like bacon but that one was perfectly crispy and not too greasy). The only problem was with matcha pancakes: it sounded delicious on the menu but in reality the dish was not sweet at all as you expect for the pancakes, especially if you order it as a dessert after savory brunch. Won’t stop me from coming back, especially since there are blueberry pancakes to try!

This is EXACTLY what your looking for in an upscale cafe! Fresh food, delicious coffee, unique flavor combinations. The serving were large and fair for the price. The food was delicious, well balanced, and oddly familiar. This is the place you come to when you tell your friend “I know a spot”

Great vibe with healthy food options. Almost all in the all day breakfast menu have avocados! I wouldn’t call it “authentic Aussie” taste (been living Sydney for over a year) though. Coffee is great. Price is acceptable, on par with similar places. Worth a try!

Popular brunch spot that offers a wide variety of menu items and decent coffee. Located in the happening spot of Harvard Square, the cafe has a very large indoor seating area with both ground and first floor seating. They also have a few tables and chairs placed outside the shop. The staff are nice though do seem to be in a bit of a hurry. The place is quite popular as is quite busy at all times. They also do sell their merchandise at this location. Their coffee is good and recommended. Paid street parking is available and is extremely difficult to find around this area as the square is always busy.

Stopped into Bluestone Lane in Harvard Square for a casual bite and had a nice experience overall. We ordered the Beef + Pickles sandwich, the kids' eggs and bacon on toast, and the BL Burrito. The Beef + Pickles—essentially a creative take on pastrami, mustard, and pickles—was flavorful, though the sauerkraut was a bit overpowering. Lauren really enjoyed the BL Burrito and said she’d definitely come back for it. On the drink side, I had the vanilla latte. It leans toward a lighter roast, which isn’t my usual preference (I’m more of a dark roast person), but it was still smooth and flavorful. Lauren had the strawberry matcha and seemed to enjoy it as well. The space itself is beautifully decorated with high ceilings and a bright, inviting atmosphere. We always love coming down to Harvard Square, and Bluestone Lane is a nice addition to the area. Would recommend for anyone nearby looking for a solid breakfast or lunch spot with good vibes.
