All Good Books

I visited this bookstore for the first time today. Hoping to find a new place to purchase a good book, read and maybe enjoy some coffee. Well I will not be returning. The guy at the front desk never greeted me . I walked to the back of the store right past him and kept looking at his computer as if I didn't even exist. Very unwelcoming vibe and the books are way over priced. I'll take my money elsewhere or just visit the library.

I absolutely love this bookstore. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by that wonderful bookish scent that instantly makes you feel at home. The space manages to be both cozy and inviting while still feeling clean, organized, and thoughtfully arranged. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help you find your next great read. One of my favorite touches is their selection of coffees, beers, and wines—perfect for browsing the shelves, catching up with your book club, or simply unwinding with a good book. And don’t miss the patio out back. It’s a hidden oasis that feels miles away from the bustle outside. Truly a gem of a local bookstore.

A wonderful place for finding your next read, being recommended a book, attending a book event or just hiding in a quiet corner. AGB is Columbia’s premier independent bookstore and we’re lucky to have her!!

What a great local bookstore. You can tell they put thought into curating “all good books” for customers to choose from. It’s not packed full of everything, instead there is a well organized selection of some of the best books to choose from. They will order books for you as well. 📕 🌟

Great bookstore with a lovely setup, and there aren't that many in the Columbia area so I hate to bash it, but it was kinda cold and empty in there. I expected a bit more bustle, and if they served drinks, I didn't see much evidence. Maybe it's hopping more when students are in town. Books are *expensive* here - I hate to compare to online prices, but I bought one for $30 that I could have gotten for half as much elsewhere. But it's a lovely space and I want them to stay in business, I wonder if I caught it on an off day...staff could be much more friendly.
