Crema's Take

Nestled inside the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, Market Cafe offers convenient hotel-lobby accessibility with generous seating that works well for business meetings and laptop work, though quality can be inconsistent. The food receives solid marks—their artichoke and spinach flatbread and pesto chicken sandwich are reasonably priced and well-executed—but coffee and specialty drinks tend toward the pricey side with hit-or-miss execution behind the counter.

In brief: Just don’t. It’s the only ship in town inside the Hyatt and the conference Center.. Arrogant barista dude made my cafe latte for a whopping 7.5 bucks with old brewed coffee from those 2gal containers on the left and some fresh milk foam. When I asked him why he is not preparing my latte with a fresh espresso, he just bluffed that the coffee on the left is also fresh. Zero points for service, big buddy. Never will buy anything fein that overpriced outlet as they are selling overpriced subpar items.

I went to have a business meeting. Parking was easy due to convention center parking. The cafe is located in same building as Hyatt Regency and it’s nicely accessible. The cafe has plenty of seating around it and it’s away from traffic noise, made it good for our meeting. Food was consistent with any cafe. Service was friendly and good.

Excellent food, amazing quality, and healthy. The hot food there is filling and the cost for each meal is reasonable. Dine in or at take out was easy because the food came in a box. The staff was also helpful and professional. Overall, the Market Cafe is a great place to get a quick pastry, drink, or a meal. Totally recommend!

They have snacks and were open fairly late for a hotel, but SO expensive! $5 for iced tea? $16 for a bottled cocktail? Only about half of the food items were labeled, which was a pain. I did get a giant cookie, and found the chocolate looked and tasted a little old, which was disappointing for a $4 cookie.
