Boro Cafe

Crema's Take

This cozy Wilmington spot nails the European café aesthetic with a distinctly Continental vibe, serving thoughtfully pulled espresso drinks and smooth cold brew alongside genuinely excellent pastries that deserve their own moment of appreciation. The team behind the counter radiates genuine warmth—they'll guide you through their gelato selection and remember you're a regular—making every visit feel like you're catching up with friends who happen to make excellent cappuccinos. It's the kind of place that feels equally perfect for a slow morning with a croissant or as a backdrop for life's bigger moments.

Stopped in on a whim yesterday . Ordered myself an iced latte (16 oz) . Women taking our order at the counter was very nice and personable . She asked if we wanted to try any of their gelato flavors . Asked how we usually prefer our coffees and put great care into making them for us . Espresso was very smooth and delicious. We will definitely be back if in the area again . A little pricey but overall worth it .

I typically don’t leave reviews unless something really stands out — good or bad. My husband brought me home a croissant from Boro Café this morning, and I’m honestly not sure what I was looking at. It seemed stale, wasn’t flaky or buttery like a croissant should be, and the chocolate inside was dry and flavorless. I couldn’t even finish it. What’s disappointing is that I’ve had good pastries here before, so I know they can do better. Maybe it was an off batch or something sat out too long, but this one completely missed the mark.

Lovely place to stop for a great cup of java. Really enjoyed my cappuccino, especially liked having it in a mug. Gelato and a few choices of baked goods are available as well. Clean, modern shop with quiet, laid back atmosphere. Great place to sit and chill. Weather was really nice in the early evening and so I loved the outdoor seating. Service was friendly and pleasant. They even brought my coffee out to where I was sitting. Overall, very nice.

I worked with Boro cafe for a bridal photo shoot after being a long time fan of the business. Not only did they not disappoint, they knocked it out of the park. We received a box of pastries and coffee and everything was phenomenal. Not included in this visit, I always love their lattes, freshly brewed in front of you. Everything is made from scratch and it's evident how much the staff really CARES about your experience and their craft. You're actually missing out if you don't stop in (gelato is crazy good too).

What a gem! We were looking for some breakfast and coffee and we were thrilled with our drinks and our food. We loved the Continental vibe. The French house numbers as a way to keep track of who ordered what made us smile. The staff was friendly and efficient. Will come again if we are in the area again.
