Crema's Take
“ChaTo is a family-owned Japanese tea haven where the staff's genuine warmth shines through—they'll brew you a complimentary sample to help you find your perfect cup, and even whip up an allergy-soothing blend if you need it. Beyond the carefully curated selection of authentic teas from across Japan, you'll find beautiful handcrafted pottery and tea wares that invite you to slow down and linger, making it as much a place to learn about tea culture as it is to enjoy it. The thoughtful presentation—from the tea samples served hot or cold to the beautiful wrapping of your purchases—turns a simple visit into a memorable experience.”

I had an uncomfortable experience at this store. Every time I reached toward a product, staff immediately told me not to touch the merchandise. However, there were no visible signs indicating that customers were not allowed to touch the items. If the store has a strict “no touching” policy, it should be clearly communicated with proper signage at the entrance and near the displays. In most retail environments, customers reasonably expect to be able to examine products before making a purchase decision. The repeated reminders felt excessive and made the shopping experience stressful rather than welcoming. Clear communication and consistent policies would greatly improve the customer experience.
Best Japanese tea store! Wonderful and fantastic customer service! Love it! They even beautifully wrapped up the tea that I bought. 10 out of 5!
Small tea shop sells authentic Japanese tea wares with lots of selections and Japanese tea as well. They serve tea samples here for customers to try. Tea can be served in hot or cold. Lots of great and decent tea wares here from Japan that you don’t usually see it at other stores.
Chato is a familly owned business, a great place to buy some quality tea from japan and learn about the teas and the region they come from Also great selection of beautiful pottery from japan. The folks there are super friendly nice people. And helpful answering questions. They even gave me 2 samples of other teas i was on the fence to try out without even asking.
Super friendly staff and delicious tea. I sneezed in the store because of allergies, and the lady whips out a bag of tea they said was good for allergies and brewed up a batch for me. The prices for the tea are very reasonable, being about $15-20 for a bag depending on of it is 150 grams or 200 grams.
