Crema's Take

Nestled in the heart of Hanalei, this roastery wins hearts with its open kitchen setup where you can watch your breakfast come together right before your eyes, creating an engaging, convivial atmosphere that keeps visitors returning day after day. The real magic happens at the intersection of coffee and pastries—their Danish case bursts with creative twists on scones and quick breads, while their Kona coffee with coconut milk and breakfast burritos earn genuine enthusiasm, though coffee quality can be inconsistent depending on the brew.

I recently tried their house drip of light roast coffee, and it was nowhere near “light” as described. The coffee sounded like it was specialty grade, but the brew itself was disappointing. Perhaps it was a bad brew. The matcha was also quite below average. There wasn’t enough matcha, and the pour was bad, so it wasn’t well mixed leaving all the matcha at the bottom. I highly recommend trying Outpost Coffee instead.

The Ham and Swiss Danish was awesome, the bakery case had so many innovative tasty twists on Danish, scones, quick breads, and muffins. I also had their Kona coffee with coconut milk - a real winner. The service was upbeat and efficient. A great experience!

This place has such a great vibe, and one of the coolest things is that you can actually watch them prepare your breakfast right in front of you. It's such a neat, engaging experience! And the food? Oh my goodness, the pastries and breads are out of this world. They're all baked fresh, and there's a huge, mouth-watering variety to choose from every single day. Plus, for anyone with dietary needs, they even have a fantastic selection of gluten-free pastries and bread, which is awesome to see – they really cater to everyone. Full disclosure, it is a little on the pricier side, I won't lie. But honestly, the quality of the ingredients, the fresh preparation right before your eyes, and the overall delightful atmosphere really make it worth every single penny. You truly feel the value in every bite! Seriously, if you're ever looking for a super enjoyable breakfast or brunch, I couldn't recommend this place more highly!

We came here almost every morning of our 10 day trip! We got the breakfast burrito and the Acai bowls, and of course, coffee. They offer great service, delicious food, and they are right in the heart of everything. We will come back as soon as we book our next visit!

This coffee shop was probably the best coffee we had on the island. Unlike other coffee shops you could tasted the coffee and it wasn’t to flavorful or not enough flavor. I had the iced mocha and my sister had the blood orange Spritzer. Both were very good and hit the spot! The staff was great and the restaurant was very clean and packed. Their food smelt and looked amazing! I wish we would have had more time to stop and get food there.
