Crema's Take
“Armida's Bakery and Cafe is a hidden gem tucked into San Rafael's Woodland neighborhood that feels like stumbling upon a local secret—a charming cottage-style spot where you can linger in a dappled garden courtyard surrounded by loquat trees and jasmine. They take their pastries seriously, crafting everything from buttery croissants that rival Paris to innovative corn-based vegan muffins, paired with thoughtfully pulled espresso-focused coffee and proper breakfast and lunch options. It's the kind of place where spending a little extra feels worth it because you're tasting care in every bite and savoring an unhurried, family-friendly atmosphere designed for real conversation and connection.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

See all on Google →I ordered the breakfast burrito with avo and tomatoes and, hands down, it was the best I have ever had. I had to comment. A real meal, big, satisfying and delicious. Kudos to them. I will be back.
This is a charming cafe with a sweet outdoor patio! What a hidden gem! The baked goods are amazing and homemade by Armida! They do homemade sandwiches to order, have savory and sweet baked goods! Try the bacon/egg/maple syrup bun or the veggie pocket! There is ample indoor space…
This was, unfortunately, pretty disappointing. I tried a muffin, scone, and a chocolate croissant. None of them felt worth the fairly high price. It took a while to reach the chocolate in the croissant as can be seen in the photo. It looks nice and the staff were fairly…
This is a gem of a bakery and coffee spot. Tucked in the Woodland neighborhood in a residential neighborhood and you can get breakfast sandwiches, lunch in addition to their wonderful pastries and cookies. I took some home with me too. How this place doesn't have a line out the…
Cozy little bakery with wide variety of vegan muffins that are corn based. First time having a corn based muffin, and it reminded me of cornbread. Not too sweet. Loved it. So special that they’re still making muffins with the original recipe.
I can’t believe I paid $7 for this croissant… I’m ok with spending $28 on FOUR pastries (one of them is not on the picture bc I had to pop it in the oven for it to be edible..) expensive but might be worth it, right? Well this is NOT IT. I’m sorry, I don’t like leaving bad…
