Ali Mama Cafe

Crema's Take
“Ali Mama Cafe is a late-night destination in Silver Lake where generations of hospitality meet modern comfort, featuring a multi-tiered backyard oasis with views of Sunset Boulevard and carefully curated hookah selections paired with traditional teas. The space strikes that rare balance of being authentically rooted in Arabic culture while welcoming curious newcomers, with genuinely knowledgeable staff and those excellent outdoor heaters that make lingering well past dark feel inevitable. It's the kind of place where you go to actually sit and connect—whether that's with friends, a book, or just the particular magic of their intimate patio vibes.”

Ali Mama is the vibe. One of the best hookah spots to hangout at late night. Can’t beat the outdoor area to hookah, they also have indoor as well. The service, shisha selection, and knowledge of hookah is exceptional. Highly recommend the VIP hookah with the pineapple and iced hose. The blueberry vanilla mint was on point. Shisha lasted a solid 3 hours between 3 people.
Very cute place with nice patios and heaters. Really good hookah and excellent service.
Great hookah, super cute backyard vibes Staff was super friendly, definitely recommend Will be coming back
One of my favorite spots to chill in the Silverlake neighborhood. The roots run generations deep here and the hospitality is amazing. They’ve redone the back to have a multi tier view of Sunset Blvd with comfy couches, chairs and pillows throughout. They’re constantly improving and always have a smile to greet you. Come hookah & love this place as much as I do.
I love this place but admittedly it’s not for everyone. They serve mainly two items: Hookahs and tea (plus some soft drinks). The atmosphere is super cool but very particular to more Arabic tastes (I’m not Arab but still love it). There’s backgammons and other board games to play, you can connect to their speaker and play your own music and you can also bring your own food. The guy who runs the place is very friendly and nice and super accommodating. I’m there at least weekly.
