Crema's Take

Owner Aliya's genuine warmth permeates every corner of this Black-owned Harlem spot, where the community-first vibe feels as carefully crafted as the espresso itself. The matcha is legitimately excellent, the pastries (especially the restrained lemon poppy muffin) are some of the best in the neighborhood, and the Morningside breakfast sandwich on an everything croissant will make you a regular. This is the rare coffee shop where the aesthetic, the service, and the actual coffee all hit equally hard.

What to expect

Espresso-focused, matcha and tea options too. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and pastries on the menu. Family friendly. Parking available.

Extremely warm and inviting vibes, adorable aesthetic, and great service. Matcha is very high quality and they just started offering student discounts! Owner Aliya is a delight.
