I loved everything about Binondo! Excellent service, great ambience, and one of the best Filipino comfort food in NYC! The lumpia was perfectly crispy outside but not at all dry on the inside. Very flavorful beef kaldereta and sinigang soup. And my fave would be the sisig - so tasty and with the perfect kick of spice. Absolutely delicious. I also loved the complimentary fried dried anchovies and peanuts. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Chinatown.💜 Will be back for sure.
Four of my friends and colleagues in the Culinary industry had an awesome dinner here. We ordered family-style. We had the Lumpiang Shanghai and I loved that it had Chinese chives and cilantro (I used to calll it Kinchay as a kid)...how my mother used to make them in the Philippines! The chef/owner Augee gave us a complimentary egg drop soup, a perfect start, especially it was frigid winter evening. We decided to get the Pancit Negra (I thought it would be salty because of the squid ink but no, it was nicely savory!), Pinakbet (reminded me of how my Ilocana aunt made diningding...and it had anchovies!! Loved that!), Pork Sisig (a must have...amazing!), and another must have is the Crispy Pork Shank...and they serve it with spiced vinegar..loved that. Oh and of course, we all had white rice and garlic rice, lol 🤣. We also had the Quiapo cocktail which had a really nice bright Kalamansi infusion. I also had an IPA, I hope they add a couple of Filipino beers on their list. For dessert, the Guyabano ice cream was a perfect ending. Oh and their biko with mango...aaaand it came with the Latik!!! The latik made me so happy!! It was a great night! Kudos to the chefs!! A++++! Salamat!! 🙏🏽
Had a wonderful time here right after our quick marriage ceremony nearby. The food was incredible, beautifully presented, and lovely service. The homemade bagoong was unforgettable; I still cannot believe how delicious it was. The pork humbanado was melt in your mouth tender with just the right level of sweetness, and the pinakbet vegetables were cooked perfectly with a delicate flavor. The star of the meal was the Krispy Kare Kare. The sauce had an ideal consistency, the peanuts arranged around it almost like a little beach, and the plating was a true showstopper. I love seeing how Filipino cuisine continues to evolve and reach new heights, and Binondo is definitely part of that exciting growth. It is a bit on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it, especially for a special occasion.
so happy that there is finally a filipino restaurant in chinatown. the menu had many classic dishes that i would find at woodside. the meal started with a complimentary soup, which was tasty and paired well with the peanuts and dried fish that were provided for the table. our menu highlights included: chicken adobo, crispy string beans, pork sisig, and ginataang kalabasa. we were also celebrating a birthday and we brought our own cake but they provided one of those fun sparkler candles! definitely a good place to celebrate an occasion.
Everything was delicious omg. Every vegetable was cooked perfectly (amazing)!!! And each dish tasted unique and was seasoned well (at other restaurants, all dishes can kinda taste the same.) My family loved the sisig (not pictured) and the huge halo halo of course (all the toppings were perfect.) The char on the vegetables in the kare kare was chefs kiss. Thank you Kabisera for your food at BINONDO !!!
