Crema's Take

This charming Loveland bakery is a genuine neighborhood gathering spot where the owners are as lovingly crafted as their pastries—Bob's passion for bagel-making is so infectious that he'll happily explain his methods while you enjoy your coffee. Beyond the stellar traditional espresso drinks, RISE shines for its from-scratch baked goods and hearty sandwiches that justify the slow sit-down experience, making it equally perfect for a quick morning grab or lingering conversation over exceptional pastries and soup.

Amazing food! But more than that, this is a beautiful, unforgettable experience. Bob will serve you up a bagel and also teach you why his bagels are the best! Ask him why! Not a secret - He's a teacher at heart and will share the knowledge!

Absolutely love this charming cafe. Every pastry is made with love. And the sandwiches are mouth watering. I wish I lived closer, I would be there every day! The owners are also the sweetest humans.. so kind and supportive of the community. Check Rise out if you haven’t already!!

I keep going back to try this bakery because I love supporting local and also because their soup & baked goods are always good. The service is always good and they always try to make things right which I really appreciate. If you go during the rush hour it's a little noisy inside but that's ok. It's a small area. The tables aren't kept clean inbetween folks during the rush hour, they have crumbs for a while because it's so busy, but if you ask for some napkins you can get the crumbs off yourself. When it's slower inside it's usually very clean. But, every single visit, my sandwich is always wrong. I don't know why that is 🤷🏽‍♀️. In May I ordered a breakfast sandwich, the Burlington, and surprisingly, it was missing the egg. I told the staff and we had a good laugh about it. They made me an egg and I added it to my sandwich. It happens. In June I went back to try a lunch sandwich. I ordered the Redline, a BLT with avocado added. They forgot the avocado and it was on the wrong bread. They gladly refunded me the amount charged extra for the avocado. I kept the wrong bread, it happens. Today I went in to try a panini. I ordered the Pinewood. No Pesto mayo. I ordered it because of the Pesto. I love Pesto. No Pesto. Sadness. It's a cute spot. If only I could get a sandwich made right. I ordered it to go so by the time I got to work to have it for lunch it was too late for me to drive all the way back to get it fixed. Will I try a 4th sandwich? Tune in to find out 😆. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich! Fingers crossed 🤞🏽.

It is great that Berthoud has a coffee/bakery shop at that location. The baked goods are tasty, although gluten-free items are extremely limited. Another problem is that the employees refuse to serve water to paying customers. When asked why, they blamed the Health Department (?!), which makes one wonder. Another possibility is that they just don't want to do the extra work involved in giving their customers a glass of water or putting out a water jug and paper cups.

The cutest little bakery! Their bread is amazing and the pastries look even better. Super nice staff. Make sure you get your holiday pies and cinnamon rolls.
