Fat Peach Bakery

Finally made it when the line wasn’t down the sidewalk, however the inside was full. After 15-20 min wait it was my turn! Bought 1 of each, and brought it home for my brother and my family to try stuff, and it was far from good. I suppose I got the freshest stuff given I got there right at open. We thought many of the pastries were unique and the flavor profiles were on point. Our favorites were the Ube, raspberry…, hot dog was awesome, the mole was interesting, loved the strawberry milk, chocolate, and sweet potatoe! I’d say definitely top 5 bakery in Chicago hands down

If you have the chance to stop by before your day starts I definitely recommend coming here. As a line cook and a wanting to be pastry chef, I was blown away by the flavors, especially the hot dog pastry. The warm breakfast pastry was also a favorite! Can we talk about how flaky ever single pastry is!! YUMMMMM!! And if you have more of a sweeter tooth get the guava custard.

This place was amazing. The pastries are well prepared and presented. The layers on the croissants were fenomenal. We drove a well long distance to arrive at this location, proximally an hour and 10 min and this is well worth the drive and will be coming back soon.

Absolutely phenomenal place. We visited last week from out of town. Fat Peach has been on our radar for a long time and it did not disappoint. You can taste the quality in every bite and tell that the product is crafted with extreme thought and creativity. I loved the strawberry milk croissant and the fried rice croissant . I wish I could’ve tried one of everything but guess I’ll just have to come back to Chicago.

I love having this spot nearby! Their pastries are delicious, and service is stellar. My favorite savory one is their hot dog pastry (when they first opened they had some sort of sausage/pepper loaf that was incredible, but I haven’t seen it since, sadly). As for the sweet ones, YUM! There’s usually something for any kinda sweet flavor you’re in the mood for; fruity, chocolatey, nutty, you catch my drift lol. Seating is limited, so I recommend being prepared to carry out. Also, it’s a popular bakery so the lines can be long, even if you’re there at opening. I usually go on rainy mornings to avoid longer lines heheheh.
